About this Cook
I love to cook but I HATE doing dishes which is why I make my boyfriend or daughter do them! Ha! Hey, I cooked, right??
My favorite things to cook
Pies! I love the fall in New England and it provides a great opportunity to make such wonderful pies.
My cooking tragedies
This wasn't my tragedy, per say, but I guess I did allow it to happen. My daughter was cooking brownies for the first time by herself (minus putting it in the oven) and she added to much water to the mix. She put it in the pan & asked me to put it in the oven. I didn't notice how runny the batter was & put it in to cook. Needless to say, they were AWFUL!

Meat Pie (Tourtiere)
This is an excellent recipe! My grandmother used to make meat pies when I was young but sadly she passed away (1991) when I was young and I was unable to memorize the recipe or find out if she ever wrote it down. After making this, I was reminded of her meat pies! I was so happy! It isn't exactly the same but VERY close. Thank you for sharing and bringing back memories of a great time in my life!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
This was a great recipe! Very flavorful and not too spicy. I left the chicken in the fridge for 3 hours to chill (only because I had to run out and do errands) and it worked out great. Looking forward to making this for a group of people during this football season.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Like most others, my reaction was, "What? Rootbeer?" I salted and peppered my tenderloin and cooked it in the rootbeer for the first 6 hours. When I went to drain the rootbeer I did think it smelt terrible! Then I added the BBQ sauce (I used Jack Daniels Orig. #7) and cooked it for 1 hour more. IT WAS PHENOMENAL! The whole family loved it. Can't wait to make it again.
