Hearty Hamburger Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Holy cow! I'll be making this a lot!!! I did use a little more barley. Since I'm trying to cut back on sodium, I eliminated all the salt (used lower sodium beef stock & tomatoes), but added some smoked chipotle sauce for flavor. YUM!!!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
Delicious! After reading the reviews I decided to do something different with the gravy. I just make two packets of brown gravy and added the rest of the French Onion soup. It was perfect! I didn't alter the recipe for the steaks at all.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
Delicious!! I marinaded the chicken for several hours and I didn't bother cutting it into chunks - just pounded the breasts to a uniform thickness. Also, have a water bottle handy when you put the chicken on the grill, it flames up immediately!

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2012
Absolutely delicious!!!!! I followed the recipe almost exactly, though not sure how to get medallions out of chicken breast. And as some suggested, I took the lemons out after the initial reduction and it wasn't' bitter at all, just delightfully lemony!

Maria's Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
I've made this twice in less than a week. The first time I didn't have any serrano peppers, but the second time I made sure to and I definitely think it makes a difference. I have to say I've tried many Mexican rice recipes and have never been happy. This one is WONDERFUL!!!!! I always have cartons of chicken broth on hand, so the only change is that I use that instead of the water/bullion combination. Love it! Thanks so much for the delicious and easy recipe!

Ham and Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I have made these twice recently with a couple of modifications. I don't use onion as my family doesn't really care for it and I think it would overpower them. As others suggested, I also used puff pastry sheets. These little bites are AMAZING!!! Everyone always asks for the recipe. Thanks for a great one!

Best beef stew I've ever made! I added a bay leaf and some thyme, otherwise stuck to the recipe exactly. Will definitely be making again and again!
