Pumpkin Pie Spice I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
Great! Love finding these spice mixes on this site. I never buy them pre-mixed any more and I always buy spices at the health food store--so much cheaper! Also, to reviewer Space814: The "allspice" in your jar is not the correct ingredient. Allspice is not a mixture--it is its own thing, a berry that is dried & ground. If you have a jar that lists several items as ingredients, it is not true allspice.

Tomato Cucumber Onion Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
I love this salad and make it all summer long. I, too, use about half the oil, and I add a little sugar (maybe a teaspoon or two for this amount of veggies) and some chopped fresh oregano and parsley (a tablespoon or so of each--they add eye appeal, too). And I usually do a quick seeding of the tomatoes & cukes with my thumb just to help cut down on the liquid. Goes great with grilled anything!

Homemade Shake and Bake Mixture

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
I did like the flavors in this, but it was MUCH too salty, and I had used garlic powder instead of garlic salt because of other reviews warning about the saltiness. I wish I had used celery seed instead of celery salt and had cut back the amount of regular salt, also. As it was, it bordered on inedible for me and a couple of others eating here tonight. I used it on chicken wings and half the recipe was plenty for coating a dozen full wings (24 pieces in all).

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
Wow. This is seriously delicious! Just goes to show how a few simple ingredients can come together to make something remarkable. I added some paprika to the egg mixture, used about half again as much of the butter and lemon juice, and sprinkled about a teaspoon of fresh thyme (had to use it up because it was about to go bad) over the mushrooms. My whole family wanted to kiss me after eating this dinner! Thanks so much, maddiegail!
