Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
I'm someone who doesn't do very much cooking, nor am I very good at it. However this recipe has proven to be something I totally fell in love with upon making it for the first time- I've made it a couple of times sense then. It's simple, easy, and full of flavor!

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms II

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I first enjoyed mushrooms similar to these at a bed and breakfast, then I made some myself at home a few days ago. They're marvelous! Although I did make a couple of alterations: I mixed mozzerella and mild cheddar into the cap stuffing, and I also put some chedder shavings on top. I also put panko bread crumbs on top which gave it a very pleasant little crunch. Before stuffing my caps, though, I sauteed them in butter. It's delicious!

Smothered Bacon Chicken

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
Delicious recipe, especially the sauce! I took some of the posters' advice and added the garlic mushroom soup instead of the plain soup, then I added diced cremini mushrooms to the dish. It was fantastic, and I don't believe I've ever eatten chicken more tender than the chicken from this recipe! But next time I think I may cook the bacon normally and crumble it on top as opposed to cooking it around the chicken so it ends up being crunchy instead of flimsy and chewy.

Balsamic Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
I'm generally not a big fish eatter in general, but my fiance and myself bought some tilapia fillets on a whim and decided to try them out. And thus we found this recipe... and I was immensely impressed. It was succulent, flavorful, and just completely amazing! We had to alter the recipe slightly due to us lacking a few ingredients- we had to cut out the pepper and blue cheese- but otherwise we followed the recipe, added mushrooms and asparagus to the onion mixture, and we had ourselves some delicious tilapia. We'll certainly be using this recipe again... and hopefully soon!

Bahama Mama

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
One word: Delicious! I've been 21 years old for less than a year- so I can't say that I've had a lot of drink types since becoming legal- but I enjoyed a virgin Bahama Mama in the carribbean a few years ago and fell in love with it. It was the first legal drink I enjoyed as well, and I just decided to try my hand at making them myself. This recipe is top-notch, however I did substitute the plain rum for some pineapple rum. I will deffinitely be making these again... and soon!

Chocolate Pudding Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
Although this is good, incredibly easy to make, and looks very delicious beside ice-cream I found it to be a bit lackluster when it came to sweetness. It was not very sweet at all- which I know some people enjoy- but in a cake I really want it to be sweet and succulent. Next time I'll increase the sugar amount a bit and see if I can't make it a bit better. But, on the plus side, even with it's lack of sweetness the texture and overall flavor goes perfectly with vanilla ice cream!

Eggless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
I started to browse around the site looking for something to satisfy my sweet tooth and ran across this recipe. Granted I looked at other recipes for peanut butter cookies- all of which called for oats- which I lacked. And upon seeing this one didn't require them I decided to give it a go! I have to say that I am very impressed by this recipe! The cookies are delightful, and the only thing I changed was the buttermilk. I didn't have any, so I just added milk instead with a little bit of butter added to the mix. They're simply delicious, and I'm certain I'll be making them again very soon!

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
These cookies can be described as one word: Fabulous! I'm usually not big on nuts being in my desserts, but they work just perfectly in these cookies. Everything I altered was done only because I lacked a few ingredients, but even without the almonds and semisweet morsels these cookies were a hit! My fiance kept talking about how good they were and he just couldn't keep his hands out of them! I'm planning to make some more tonight when my future in-laws come over for dinner. :) Thanks for the recipe!

Crunchy Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
I've always been a lover of chicken casserole and the many variations of it you find around, which is why I decided to give this recipe a try. To sum this up in one word? "WOW!" My fiance and I fixed this to get rid of some expiring chicken, and I think every-other bite my fiance took he was saying something along the lines of "Mmm, this is good!" I did make a few minor alterations, however. We didn't use almonds or potato chips because we didn't have any. We sauteed the chicken in garlic and butter before adding that into the casserole, and we added a touch of dry mustard powder, onion powder, lemon juice and curry into the mixture. Talk about good stuff! We'll definitely be making this again!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
Delicious, delicious, delicious! It's taken me a long while to find a cookie recipe that resulted in cookies that stayed gooey for a couple of days after being baked, and these cookies are just what I was lookin' for! The only change I made was I omitted the walnuts because I didn't have any, but everything else I followed explicitly. Will certainly be making these again!

Chocolate Chess Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2012
I looked at the top-most review for this pie, which basically said nothing productive other than "EWWWWWWW." So, even with a 4.5/5 rating it worried me, but it looks like my worries were for naught! I decided to attempt this pie for my mother's birthday- she LOVES chocolate chess- and having never made one before, I relied on AR to aid me. The result? My husband turned to me after taking his first bite and told me "this is probably the best pie you've ever made." And he WANTED to eat more of it, and my husband doesn't eat sweets. Ever. My mother also enjoyed it- as did I- and it's something I plan to make over and over again. It's decadent- quite rich- and tastes heavenly topped with whipped cream and a small drizzle of chocolate syrup. Amazing, amazing, AMAZING!

Chocolate Cupcakes with Caramel Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
I have used this recipe probably a dozen times now, all with incredible success. I have to admit I've never made the frosting for this- I prefer cream cheese frosting- but the cake for this is spot-on. I've altered it a few times to suit my needs and personal taste, resulting in a cake I ALWAYS get compliments on. As of this very second I'm using said alternative recipe to make a 4-tier wedding cake for a friend's wedding. This is an AMAZING recipe!
