About this Cook
A mom of a gorgeous gay 21 yr old son, who is a spine and brain cancer survivor. The most important to me. I enrolled in culinary school just before my son became sick 10 yrs ago. now that dream is gone but I still have my love of cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love playing with homemade pasta dough and the many thins you can do with it. making homemade sauces...everything from scratch it's endless what I love
My favorite family cooking traditions
Born in a Polish household, I have mastered the Pierogi, from the traditional dough to the fillings. Also, my mom and I have an incredible sauerkraut recipe (using regular kraut with major additions and slow cooked with intense results). Homemade traditional soups, potato pancakes, and also some hidden italian recipes from and aunt.

Creamy Goat Cheese and Honey
I forwarded this recipe to my son for his housewarming party and they disappeared! The only change he made was that he used crushed pistachio instead of pecans. He made 3 balls which were ravaged. Excellent recipe and TY!! Pairs well with several wines.

Banana Cupcakes
Very Impressed! I was just shy by approx 1/8 cup banana and aded sour cream to accommodate. These delectable cakes were light and airy and sheer perfection. I made only half the frosting recipe and topped the cakes with a salted hazelnut sprinkle. This recipe is seriously wonderful. thank you very much for sharing it.

Cornbread Muffins II
AT first I was uncertain about the consistency of the finished(batter) product..and ( I do Agree with a prior review that this recipe can be more than a dozen... I myself had yielded 18) i poured the somewhat thin batter into my buttered muffin cups( no paper cups) and "voila....beautiful..golden.. buttery crispy bottomed ..soft tender ..flavorful...I was Impressed...I had made a large pot of my homemade Chili..what a delightful accompaniment....very balanced flavor without too much sweet and great texture...(those who say it is is dry are way off....the texture is just right for a cornmeal treat) well done..
