Chocolate Chess Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2008
I made this just like the recipe suggested and it never set! I was disappointed since I was so anxious to try it. I even cooked it longer and it still did not set. Now the taste of this pie was awesome!!!! So, the taste portion of this gets 5 stars. I will maybe add some kind of thickener and play with it some more. I am determined to get this pie to come out right.

Big-Batch Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
Absolutely divine!!!!! I did add a bag of butterscotch chips to this recipe. I don't think I have ever eaten a butterscotch cookie without oatmeal. This has made a place in my cookbook and will be used for a long time. Everyone just raved over them when I handed them out too.

Spaghetti Pie III

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
This was a little dry. Next time I will mix everything together and then top with cheese. I will also change the onions. I did not like the green onions in this. I will also not put in as many green peppers. It was too overpowering. Seemed to take over the dish. Great starter though to play with. This did make a "huge" amount. So, plan on leftovers.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
This really didn't knock my socks off. It was good though. I would give it a 3.5 The kids and I ate this earlier since hubby was running late. When he finally got to eat he exclaimed that it was the best meatloaf he had ever had!!! He is picky about his meatloaf so this says a lot if he loves it. When I make this again I will add onions, bell pepper and a little more salt. I think that is what was missing for me. This will be a keeper in our house.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Good recipe but needs more garlic. While the bread was cooking it had a nice garlic aroma but you couldn't taste it. So, I'll have to add much more next time. I like to "taste" my garlic in my bread.

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2006
I now have a meatloaf recipe. I have been searching for years. This was so good!!!! Everyone liked it. The only thing I did differently was fry up some bacon and onion and then I added a packet of beefy onion soup mix. I also doubled the sauce recipe as suggested by others. Hubby even likes it cold.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
This is the first cobbler I have ever made and it was such a "huge" hit. I was nervous taking this to a party due to the fact that my whole family are southerners and cobbler is pretty much a "staple" for dessert. My family and friends were blown away and even wanted the recipe. They all said it was the "best". Made it again and took it to my mil's and she was blown away too :o) Thanks so much for the delicious recipe and giving my family a new "cobbler".

Baked Chicken with Peaches

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
A keeper in my house!!!!! I used a 29oz can of peaches in heavy syrup and therefore I only used 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Used all the other spices as recommended and I also sprinkled a little bit of cinnamon over the top. I only used 4 breasts in this dish also. My husband make and "icky" face when he saw it in the oven but once he tasted it he said it was delish and wanted it to be a regular in our house. My daughter said this is what she wants for her birthday dinner :o) Thanks for sharing a great recipe.

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
This recipe was great but I did tweak it a bit. I doubled the sauce mixture and added 1/4 cup salsa to it as well with a pinch of salt and 1/2 t. taco seasoning. When I sauted the onions I put the green peppers, chili powder and 1 t. taco seasoning in it as well and then transferred it to a blender with 1/4 cup sauce and 1/2 cup salsa. Blended it so that my kids would eat it. They don't like chucks of peppers or tomatoes. Returned it to pan and mixed it in with my chicken. Rolled the tortillas up with a little cheese in with the chicken mixture. I used a whole bag of cheese too since i put it in the tortillas and I sprinkled the rest on top of the dish. Any left over chicken I also mixed in with the soup mixture and poured it over the top. I got rave reviews over this. My 7 year old loved it too. Very yummy and I will make this again. Thanks for the recipe.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2005
This is a great biscuit all the way around. Easy to make and simple too. I have also made these by putting all the dough on my baking stone and spreading out....topped with sausage and cheese and baked. Absolutely wonderful. The only thing I changed with the ingredients is that I added more salt. I added about an extra 1/2 teaspoon. This recipe will be a keeper in our home :o) Thanks for sharing.
