Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
My boyfriend and I loved this! I did make my own changes though. I cooked up some rice and added that under the chicken breasts. I mixed a small amount of lemon juice into the rice I butterflied two breasts to make four smaller ones. I used just a few marinated artichoke hearts (I have a huge jar from Costco). I added minced fresh garlic and fresh italian seasoning. I used 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream with just a bit more of the lemon juice. Browned the top at the end and WALA! Heaven!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I make this soup all the time! It's everyones favorite! I di however make fresh enchilada sauce, since I hate the canned version. I use a roasted chicken, homemade roasted tomatillo enchilada sauce, all chicken broth instead of water and cook it overnight. It gets better with every day you have leftovers. I make huge batches and take whatever the boyfriend doesn't eat to work!

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I have to rate this 5 stars simply because it is the exact same recipe as the Irish Cream Bundt cake (except with rum). Both are delicious

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
I'll start off with THANK YOU for sharing! A received many compliments on the rich cocoa flavor. Just as equally I was told it was TOO much cocoa. I enjoyed the change of taste; it doesn't taste like store bought and it tastes better than most frostings I've made. On the down side... this frosting was just about perfect right before I followed a suggestion about placing it in the fridge if you make it a day ahead... DON'T DO THAT! It took close to three hours before it was back to a spreadable consistency. This frosting is perfect for simply frosting a cake and it's even better if you don't care too much about the presentation of your cake. This frosting just doesn't look the prettiest. I remade this again tonight and used it for my famous mint, chocolate cupcakes... it doesn't hold any form or shape. I'll stick to using it between cakes.

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

This recipe is fabulous! My first ever angel food cake tastes amazing!! I ended up only needing 9 eggs. I'm saving the egg yolks for another cake recipe; David's Yellow Cake. Thanks!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I'll start of by saying that these cookes do flatten out, not sure how the other viewer got them not too. These also took my oven 15 minutes to bake. I folloed the recipe except for adding the walnuts. They are delicous and soft but not too much flavor. My boyfriend loves just plain old tollhouse cookies and I'm sure he'll say they still taste better than these.

The Best Meatloaf I've Ever Made

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
Delicious! This was my boyfriend and I's first attempt at meatloaf and it turned out well. Skip waiting for the meatloaf to be 160 degrees, that wasn't happening for us. If we would have left it in the oven any longer it may have been burnt. Next time we'll add a bit more seasoning to make it that much better. Delicious but a tad bit bland

This is hands down WAY better than my mothers original recipe from when I was a kid. I've made this recipe many, many times now and every time it gets better. Thank you!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
This recipe is a great starter to awesome Chicken Tortilla soup, but it doesn't have any spice. This recipe is also very, very similar to Slow Cooker CHicken Tortilla soup from this site. That recipe actually comes out better because it has more ingredients to make it just a tad bit spicy. I'll admit that I don't make either on of these like the recipe. I make homemade green enchilada sauce and use home made chicken stock along with shredded chicken.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
This didn't turn out in any way that you have written in your description. It tastes great! However this is not a sturdy whipped cream frosting. I will admit that maybe I possibly did something wrong... I followed the directions exactly and tried to follow other review's advice about mixing it slow and so forth. It just didn't come out how I was hoping. This was my last attempt at making a cream cheese frosting and now I won't ever try making one for a cake again.

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This recipe is awesome! My cake came out so yummy and dense. It was just amazing. I currently hold the title of making the best yellow cake (in my boyfriends eyes). I found it tasted best with this bittersweet chocolate frosting. The chocolate frosting melts in your mouth and tastes great with cold cake. VERY YUMMY! thank you

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
First off, I'd like to ask why are eggs even included in this recipe? 6 eggs?? 1 lb bacon? This recipe was very plain. It tasted just like mayo & sour cream mixed together with some egg that didn't even need to be there. I suggest to cut the recipe in half. Do not use eggs. Find some kind of seasoning because just pepper & salt alone don't work (unless you use tons). I think adding in some dill would be a good choice.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
This was an awesome recipe. I doubled the recipe with these changes. I used 8oz. Pepper Jack shredded cheese instead of doubling the cream cheese. I used more like 1 1/2 cans of arthichoke hearts, but honestly one is still a great amount. This was made for a potluck, and everyone LOVED IT! I even passed out the recipe. Thanks!

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
These cookies sound awesome just as is! However, I choose to use just chopped almonds & white chocolate chips. Literally MOUTHWATERING COOKIES! One of these days I'll try it with the variety of chocolate & nuts. I love almonds & chocolate like nothing else in the world. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe! I'll use it years.
