Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This soup is delicious. I also added some carrots and corn. By making the roux with the milk really added a smooth texture to the soup that was wonderful! I also added a touch of sherry as I do that to most of my soups and as another poster suggested a pinch of thyme. I also doubled it and am so glad I did as there is leftovers for lunch. This is a keeper.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
This was very good. As others have mentioned I would double the sauce. Also I marinated my meat in 1 tbsp of baking soda and water for a few hours before I cooked the meat to make it tender.

This is 5 stars for the taste however I didn't have enough caarmel to fully coat all my popcorn so I gave the recipie 4 stars. However I would double the caramel next time but the taste is fantastic!

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
I made this as per the directions with one tweak. However just a minute or two before it was ready to come out of the oven I sprinkled brown sugar on the salmon and put the oven on broil. Watch it carefully so it won't burn and then pull out when the sugar is bubbling. It was perfect. I also glazed the salmon with the sauce 3 times throughout the cooking process.

Plum Blueberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
I made this cake and it's amazing. I was a bit worried because there wasn't much batter for the pan but it rose nicely, also there was a whole cup of sugar. Usually I would cut that back but left it because of the tartness of the plums. It was perfect. I upped the baking powder to 2 tsp to make it a bit fluffier. I also added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter, as well as 1/4 tsp almond extract. It was perfect. I did follow some of the previous suggestions of the brown sugar and cinnamon added on top of the plums. The cake is so yummy even without the plums, this is a definite keeper.

Wiener Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
I just made the dough and it was good. I made it in the bread maker and put the water and yeast and vanilla on the bottom and then the dry ingredients on top and it worked out great. It could be a bit more flaky and less bready but my husband and kids liked it.
