I made this cake and it's amazing. I was a bit worried because there wasn't much batter for the pan but it rose nicely, also there was a whole cup of sugar. Usually I would cut that back but left it because of the tartness of the plums. It was perfect. I upped the baking powder to 2 tsp to make it a bit fluffier. I also added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter, as well as 1/4 tsp almond extract. It was perfect. I did follow some of the previous suggestions of the brown sugar and cinnamon added on top of the plums. The cake is so yummy even without the plums, this is a definite keeper.
