About this Cook
I am 28 years old and live with my partner, dog and cat. I love finding new and interesting recipes to try. I own around 25-30 cookbooks and enjoy most types of foods and methods of cooking. I especially like trying out new recipes from this site.
My favorite things to cook
I love making pasta, lasagne, cannelloni, soups, casseroles, cookies and slices, Asian food, roast vegies, stews, just about everything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mum will find any excuse to hold a breakfast/brunch for any occassion - birthdays, Christmas, Easter. Also my Mum teaching me how to cook her recipes with the exception that I do all her washing up afterwards.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that turns out delicious including many recipes from this site! Seven Layer Tortilla Pie, Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos to name a couple.
My cooking tragedies
I once made a curry that required using almost an entire bulb of garlic and half a jar of chilli powder. My guests actually ate a tiny amount (I think mainly out of politeness). I aired the house for days.

Taco Seasoning I
Left out the onion powder because I didn't have any. What a fantastic recipe! This is so quick to make, and tastes very authentic.

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna
This was a tasty veggie lasagna. I added some spinach to the vegies but otherwise made as is. I thought this was a bit too cheesy so next time I will reduce the cheese but otherwise it was a decent lasagna.

Indian Dahl with Spinach
I made this for dinner tonight and used half pound frozen spinach but otherwise made the recipe as written. I enjoyed it but like others, felt it could of used more flavour. Next time I will add some more spices or use stock instead of water.
