Albondigas

Absolutely excellent! I doubled the recipe but other than that, made it exactly as written. Turned out just like my step dad used to make it! Thank you!

Vegetable Pasties

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
5 Stars for the filling. 2 Stars for the pastry. I tried this twice. The first time I used the pastry recipe here, and it was too hard. Though that may have been me overworking the dough. The second time I bought the refrigerated pie dough at the store (they didn't have puff pastry), they turned out amazing! The filling is awesome! I also made a mushroom gravy with vegetable stock to go with it, since we are vegan. It was excellent. Even my carnivore brother loved it!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
OH YUM!!! I have used this glaze a lot, and every time, EXCELLENT! The ham remains very juicy and oh so sweet. I put pineapple rings all over the ham before I start baking it, and maraschino cherries in the middle of those rings. Then start to glaze 45 minutes before it's done. Sooooo tasty! Also, don't forget that when you cover the ham with tinfoil, tent it so it doesn't lay against the ham, keeps it even juicier! Thanks for sharing Sue!!!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
OOOOhhhh, this was WONDERFUL!!! I had previously tried a few other recipes, but this is it! I'm stickin with this from now on. I followed the recipe, except I used all the soup mix (didn't sift it out) and I add worstechire sauce and a little liquid smoke. Couldn't find cheese flavored ritz, so used Cheez Its. I also followed another reviewers comment and put sandwich bread under and around it to soak up the grease, worked AMAZINGLY! Thank you sooooo much for sharing this recipe!

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
LOVED IT! Was easy and amazing! My husband, who's picky (and right off the boat from Dublin), loved it! The first loaf I added raisins to, and the second loaf I made without. It was GREAT both ways. The raisin loaf needed to bake longer than the second. By about 15 min. Raisins=1 hour and Plain=45 min. Brushing it with the buttermilk and butter was excellent. I would caution to only do so about 3 times tho. However, you will need more than a couple tablespoons. ENJOY! We sure did!

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
These were very very good. I used very thick cut pork chops, and that was a mistake. The thinner the better. Also, the gravy was very very thin at the end. So, I took it out of the pan and thickened it on the stove top with some corn starch. It was very flavorful. Thank you!

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
These are WONDERFUL! My kids love them, they are simple to make, and even my husband wanted more! One note tho, they do taste better with cheaper hot dogs (something with the grease). :)

Kitchen Sink Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
The first time I made this, I followed the recipe exactly. It turned out mushy. The second time I followed some of the other reviews and made a few revisions of my own. I added a packet of onion soup mix, beef boulion granules, 1/3 c extra bread crumbs, 1/4 lb extra ground beef, extra onion powder, garlic powder, season salt and italian seasoning. I also added some french fried onions on top in the last ten minutes of baking. It was EXCELLENT! Texture was perfect and the taste was wonderful. My husband doesn't like ketchup on top, so this worked out great! Thanks for sharing!
