Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
My dogs love these treats! Instead of the beef bullion I use puree chicken liver from our chickens and I also leave out the milk because the liver is plenty of liquid. Sometimes I also sub out the cornmeal since it's not great for dogs and use wheat germ either way they go nuts for it! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe.

Pumpkin Roll III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
This was really tasty, but hard to unroll from the cotton dish towel. It was pretty sticky. I will make this again because I could have messed it up. So my advice to someone wanting to try this just watch the portion of the instruction. The frosting is really really yummy and really makes the whole dessert. My husband thinks this filling with ANY roll cake would rock! Thanks for summiting this recipe.

Balsamic Pickled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
I loved the flavor of these eggs! I think the key is you have to really like balsamic vinegar. These eggs do not taste like traditional pickled eggs. The egg prep really depends on the eggs you use.... We use nest fresh eggs and the trick is to place eggs in cold water with1/8 cup salt per qt. Of water.... Bring to full boil...remove from heat... Cover and let set for 17 minutes....place eggs in to ice cold water until chilled. This way the eggs are cooked through and pop right out of the shell. Yummy thank for sharing the recipe!

This is nice but you don't have to cook it....I have been feeding our dogs a raw diet for years at the advice of our vet. They do just fine, smell great, have beautiful coats and tons of energy. Thanks for sharing!

Home-Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
These were pretty good actually the best home fries I've ever made....the flavor was just a little dull for my taste so I added some sweet smoked rub and it was great! The boiling was the key for me. I have tried making home fries before and they always fell apart...but this time they were perfect. Thanks for the recipe :)

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Loved it and I hate cakes! This is the most amazing carrot cake out there. I like the fact that it did not call for baby food.... I like seeing the carrots. I didn't have any pecans so I added raisins instead at it rocked! Even my son loved it and he does not like cream cheese. Thanks so much for the recipe it's a keeper for sure.... As a matter of fact my husband just ate the last piece and asked me to make another!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
This is an amazing bread..... Simply follow the directions and you can't go wrong. I have made many different breads and this one is the best for every day use ..... It makes the best toast ever! The trick to keeping it nice and fresh is to slice after it cools and freeze in zip lock bags. When you need a slice or two just grab and go..... It easily comes apart and thaws with no trace of freezer burn or staleness. Thanks for sharing!

This came out so yummy... I will make it again for sure. I had no problems...the tip about having everything measured out ahead of time was great. Next time I make this I will add some vanilla or almond extract just for some deeper flavor. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
