Nobody's Strawberry Watermelon Shakedown

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
Loved it! Very flavorful, and not too heavy. We could actually taste both the watermelon and the strawberries, and the cream gave it a nice smooth flavor. It was a bit too thick so I added milk as I was blending. Will absolutely make this again! A new favorite for us.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
It was OK, but not too flavorful. I added capers and that gave it a punch. The chicken was moist and well cooked, but we could barely taste the lemon and certainly could not taste the other spices. I would double the lemon juice and spices if I made again.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
I make this every year (with a few changes) and it is a hit! I use hot and spicy turkey sausage to give it a bit of a kick, I eliminate the turkey liver and celery, and I use good old fashioned chicken stock. I cook it in the over so I fill a 9 x 13, double the stock to 1.5 cups so it doesn't get too dry, cover and cook for 40 mins. If it is a bit too soft I'll continue cooking uncovered for 10 mins or so. This is a family favorite, and I highly recommend it!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
Like many others said, mine did not cook all the way through. I ended up baking it or 1.5 hours and it was still gooey in the middle. Tasted pretty good, but you had to eat around the uncooked part. It was frustrating because I cooked it for a get together at my house and had to run to the store to get something else at the last minute. =[

Sweet Potatoes 'n' Pears

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Very good! But too sweet -- I would use half as much brown sugar. I also added vanilla and nutmeg, as a previous rater had suggested. I kept the skins on, hand mashed, then covered with bread crumbs and baked for 10 mins. It was great!

Orange-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I used lemon juice instead of lime, and it was pretty good. My husband really liked it, I thought it was a bit salty. I'll use less soy sauce next time -- but it was good!
