Mostly baked goods. I looove to bake. I can't go a day without thinking what to bake next!
My cooking triumphs
I recently learned how to bake on my own. No baking classes, just the internet. And somehow I succeeded in baking: blueberry cheesecake Sponge cake Quick breads e.g. apple bread, banana bread, pumpkin bread etc. I'm still learning and hopefully I'd learn to make ganache and fondant someday!
My cooking tragedies
I tried making chinese steamed cake. Gosh, that was bad. My so-called "cake" was flat, and rubbery. Everything a cake isn't. And I always consider my chocolate cakes as disasters because I haven't pinpoint the very reason that's causing my cakes to crack (what can I say, I'm a perfectionist!)

Best Bircher Muesli

Lemon Bread
Good recipe for a basic lemon bread. I did however, change a number of things. First, since I wanted my bread more lemony and less milky, I added 1/3 cups of lemon juice and reduced the milk to 1/8 cups + 1 tbsp. To make the bread more fluffy, I added 1/8 of a tbsp of vinegar to the milk and also added 1/4 tsp of baking soda. I added the lemon juice right after I added the eggs. The texture was lovely! I put only 1/4 cup sugar and it was too sour for my liking, so I'd increase the amount of sugar the next time round. Also, I took the bread out of the oven and glazed it 15 mins before the cooking time ended (I cooked it for about 40 mins), and placed it back it, so it'll have time to dry a little. I will definitely be making this again!

Orange Muffins
This is a good recipe! However, instead of melted butter, I creamed the butter so that it would be a more cake-like muffin. Other than that, I did put most of the 2/3 orange juice and to make it more moist and fluffy, I added some buttermilk to the recipe (or milk + a bit of vinegar/lemon juice). I also added 1/4 chopped raisins and 1/4 chopped almonds and sprinkled some flour over them before mixing into the batter so they won't sink to the bottom. I made it as a gift and my aunt simply loved them! :) Thanks for the recipe!
