Chipotle Cheeseburger

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
these burgers were delicious and easy to make. i made them in a skillet, but i bet they would be absolutely amazing on the grill. the cilantro mayo really brought all the flavors together. i even made extra to dip fries in :) thanks for sharing.

Black Beans and Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
wow this was absolutely delicious! i couldn't believe the amout of flavor that came out of such simple and few ingredients! very easy and quick to make. i served them with garlic mashed potatoes. the bean sauce was so good that i topped the potatoes with it! will definitely keep this in my weeknight rotation of recipes. thanks for sharing!

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

Reviewed: May 13, 2011
i had never tried meatless crumbles and was curious about a vegetarian chili so i decided to try this recipe because of the great reviews. it was okay, but i don't think i'll make it again. it did make a HUGE amount and i ended up throwing away about 2/3 of it since it's just my husband and i. i think one of my mistakes was using tomato puree instead of crushing up the whole peeled tomatoes myself. i figured i would save some time, but it was way too much tomato sauce. my dutch oven overflowed. also, the meatless crumbles grossed me out a bit. i'm sure it's just mental! the celery was way too crunchy, meaning i didn't cook it long enough. anyway, thank you for sharing!

Pasta Lasagna

Reviewed: May 13, 2011
this was really good and easy. i will definitely make it again. i used about a pound of ground turkey instead of the beef and added a little bit more marinara sauce. i also added some diced onions while the turkey was browning, as well as a bit of garlic powder and pepper. served with a green salad and garlic bread, it's a yummy weeknight dinner. thanks for sharing!

Lloyd's Healthy Chicken Zoopa

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
this was a healthy and delicious soup that i plan to make again. the only changes i made were: swapped the egg noodles for no yolks and added half of the bag. because of this, it could have used more liquid. next time, i will add more chicken stock to even it out. i also added some frozen peas. when i make this again, i may also try browning the chicken for extra flavor. thank you for sharing this recipe.

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
this sauce was okay in my opinion. i think if i make it again i will add some red wine and worchestershire sauce for some extra flavor. i used it to top spaghetti and i felt that it lacked flavor. i bet it would be better in lasagna where there are other flavors (ricotta, mozzarella) for it to combine with. thank you for sharing.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
absolutely delicious and definitely extremely chocolatey. it was rich, moist and tasted like something from an expensive bakery. i followed the recipe exactly. i was worried that the frosting was going to be too thick. but it came out perfectly. thank you for sharing this recipe. my husband and i had so much fun making it and eating it!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
This recipe was really good and super easy. I used only 4 chicken breasts since I am cooking for two and wanted a bit leftover. The first day I served it with noodles and steamed veggies. Two days later, I shredded it up and made enchiladas. I just stuffed the chicken in corn tortillas, added two cans of enchilada sauce, topped with shredded cheddar cheese and baked for 20 minutes. Thank you for sharing!

Busy Day Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
this was very easy and tasted good. i used a whole chicken, cut up already. i left the skin on half and took the skin off of the other half. i added salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder before covering with bbq sauce (i used about half a bottle because that's all i had - i also rinsed the bottle with a little water to get the rest out). the chicken was a bit dry so next time i will cook it for a little less time. it also needed a lot more salt. i served it over white rice. thanks for sharing!

Chili Mac Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
this recipe was good. i made a few changes as usual. i made a box of kraft mac & cheese (deluxe, family size) and added the beef mixture to that instead of just plain noodles. it made A LOT, so next time i will freeze half (especially since it's just my husband and me!). i also added a bit more salt and chili powder to bump of the flavor. i was also too lazy to put it in a separate dish and bake it...so i left out that step. will definitely make again. thanks for sharing!

Fried Cabbage and Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
this was delicious! i made some changes to turn this into a yummy dinner. i fried up some sliced kielbasa, diced onions and minced garlic. i set that aside and cooked the cabbage in the same pan. my suggestion would be to fry the cabbage in batches so that it browns easier. i also think i will use a little less butter next time. thanks for sharing this recipe!

Cajun Dirty Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
absolutely delicious! thank you for sharing. i made only some minor changes: i used kielbasa, added diced green peppers and minced garlic, and omitted the salt & pepper (only because i forgot to add it, but turns out that it didn't need any extra salt or pepper for my taste). i also cooked the ground beef and kielbasa separately so that they browned better. will definitely make again!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
i'm sad to say that this soup was not worth the calories for me. i had high hopes because of the yummy ingredients and great reviews, but in my opinion it lacked flavor. it was very thick and creamy though. i had to add an extra teaspoon of salt. i also had to cook it for much longer than the recipe indicated, because the potatoes weren't soft enough for my taste. this was my first attempt at potato soup. if i decide to try this recipe again, i will make some changes that other reviewers have suggested. thank you though, my husband and i had fun making it.

Butter Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
this was a good recipe and made a lot of cookies. i added green food coloring to half the dough to make cute christmas trees. i also piped icing onto them and added colored sugars. they were very festive and pretty. i did however cut down on the cooking time...i baked them for 9 minutes. i was hoping for a more flavorful cookie. if i make these again, i will do what other readers have suggested and make them into jam thumbprints. thanks for the recipe! i had a fun time making them.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
yummo! i loved this hearty beef stew. i made a few slight changes: i added a couple handfuls of frozen peas and frozen sliced mushrooms, i used a couple handfuls of frozen pearl onions in place of the 3 sliced onions. i also added beef stock for extra flavor. absolutely delicious. will definitely make again and again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
one of the best things i've ever made!!! it is absolutely delicious and couldn't be easier! i made a few slight changes: i used kidney beans instead of the chili beans (only because that's what i had on hand), frozen corn instead of canned, and half a can of beer instead of the whole can. i topped the soup with the toppings suggested, as well as diced avocado and cilantro. perfection!

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
absolutely delicious! and it really does melt in your mouth. i only made a few slight changes: as a result of reading others reviews, i used half of the brown sugar in the sauce. i also used half of a large onion in place of the dried minced onion, and garlic powder instead of the sage (only because i didn't have any on hand). i've been making it this way ever since, and it's perfect every time...especially served with buttery mashed potatoes and green beans!

Delicious Grilled Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
good recipe. my husband chose it for one of our weekend grill outs. i was skeptical about the liquid smoke (never used it before) so i used a little less than the recipe calls for. i also added grated onion for moisture. the burgers turned out yummy. next time i will add grill seasoning for extra flavor.
