Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
First attempt making potato salad - made it with TEN pounds of my own, home grown potatoes (also first time growing) for my annual family reunion. Came out nearly perfect, just overcooked the potatoes a bit. Size variations on them made it a bit difficult. Otherwise, excellent. Was a big hit, and REALLY tasty! This one's a keeper

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
I join the ranks of all those who've rated this with 5+ stars! My very first attempt making bread dough. It's been raining pretty much non-stop where I live for last 5+ weeks, so good way to spend another rainy Sunday. Couldn't believe how perfectly they came out - was so proud of myself! I made sure to read many posts first, so I cut the sugar amount in half. Altho I like sweet breads, any more would've been too much. I also made mine in 8.5" x 4.5" pans so they did rise a bit too high. Next time I'll use 1 cup less flour, even if using 9x5 pan - nightmare trying to stir that last cup in & doesn't seem necessary. This is an amazing bread; my husband crazy about it & both loaves were gone in 3 days, w/just the 2 of us! It's easy AND delicious, & like so many others wrote, I will never buy store bread again!!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
First time ever made banana bread from scratch - definite 5 stars! I only had 4 medium bananas that were only just ripe, so also added 1/2 cup blueberries & 1/2 cup Craisans...only had bread flour (not all purpose) so used 1 1/2 cups of that, & 1/2 cup wheat flour. Came out really moist, & even tho didn't have enough bananas still full of banana flavor -just totally delicious. A real 'keeper'!
