Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I Love these, especially with the orange icing! I used fresh cranberries and the suggested additions (extra orange zest, etc). They remind me of muffins though..not cookies, but still good. i didn't think they were too swet at all, they were just right. They may be a bit too sweet if you use dried cranberries.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
Taste just like reese's (if not better! :D) I jus have a problem with mine setting up. they've been in the fridge for about 1 1/2 hrs and the peanut butter part is still not fully set. Maybe I'll wait til tomorrow or later on to try again. They were still delicious though! I used crunchy pb in the chocolate part and sprinkled chocolate sprinkles and graham cracker crumbs over the top of mine

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
I Loved this =] Before i put it in the oven I tasted the batter & it was great, but after tasting the cranberries, i was a bit skeptical because they were extremely tart, bt after cooking the pie (with the addition of 1/2 tsp cinnamon & a streusel topping from baked leftover cake crumbs) it was great! it reminded me of a the "plum tart" or "blueberry buckle" recipes on this site. The only problem I encountered was the cooking time, mine was still kinda jiggly in the middle after 40 minutes so im putting it in there for another 10min at 300 degrees.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
Initially, I was under the misconception that canola oil could sub for melted butter, then I thought about it for a minute & tried to drain the oil out before the sugar absorbed it all, I only got 1/4 of a cup out, but these cookies were still the best! (they were just a bit more flat than they should have been) but everyone loved them! I made them yesterday & more than half are already gone, lol. About 1 1/2 tbsps of dough spreads to make a 4 inch cookie!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
These never last longer than 3 days at my house. I keep forgetting to melt the butter and I never add chocolate chips, but they are still thick & fudgy & delicious. I always add a thin layer of homemade chocolate frosting, my twin thinks they're too rich that way, but everyone else loves them!!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
You know, honestly i didn't really like these when i first made them. I thought they were over rated. I still kinda do, but I could attribute that partly to the fact that I didn't follow the directions exactly. They weren't bad at all, they just weren't 5 star cookies. I thought they tasted too much like breakfast cookies. But I love them now, I can't stop eating them! What I did was: Instead of half butter, half shortening, I used half "buttery spread" half peanut butter( because I like peanut butter =] ). I also added 1 ripe banana (to get rid of it) and pumpkin spice instead of cloves. I also cut out 1/4 of the brown sugar, and sprinkled white sugar on top. So, in short, I give this 4 stars, due to my disobedience, lol. But I will try this again...the right way...minus the cloves. =]

Plum Tart

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Love it! Especially the crust =] I sprinkled sugar on the top & left out the egg. It was great! I have never cooked with plums before or made a crust from scratch, & was afraid of how this would turn out, but I needed to use up my plums, so I made this & I'm glad I did. I will definitely make this again =]
