Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
EXCELLENT! I followed the recipe and instructions exactly as written! The perfect chewy oatmeal cookie! Addicting! I baked them for 11 minutes at 350. I think if you cook longer they would get crispy pretty fast. So good. Thanks for the recipe!

Excellent! I have been looking for a good meatless burger and THIS IS IT! Thank you for the recipe! I did add a little onion, but that is the only change!

Black Bean Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
Im not sure how many stars to give this one "as is"? I didn't try the base recipe after reading the other reviews. I did tweak it based on what I had in the pantry and it turned out AWESOME! What I did: Use base recipe and add: 1 1/2 red bell pepper (omit green pepper), add 1 can butter beans to the 2 cans black beans, 3 cups chicken broth (omit water), 1 tsp chipotle seasoning, 1/4 tsp cumin, salt to taste. Pulsed it briefly in the blender just to break everything up, but not puree it. Added 2 1/2 cups cooked brown rice after I put it in the blender to keep the rice in tact. Served with dollop of sour cream and green onions! It was delish...5 stars! I agree that this is an excellent base recipe. Add your own spin on it!

Cinnabun Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
Excellet! The dollop of cinn/sugar/butter made my cookies spread really bad. I omitted the dollop and they turned out beautiful! Thanks for an awesome new recipe!

Jack's Old-Fashioned Beef and Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
OUTSTANDING! This is a GREAT soup! We use left-over prime rib scraps and bones from Christmas dinner and followed this recipe (for the most part). I had a 10 bean dry mix with barley so I use 2 cups of that instead of the 1/4 cup amounts of beans/rice/macaroni. We did follow the "core" recipe exactly! The beef broth with the crushed tomato puree and the cup of red wine made a superb broth! I believe that this recipe would be very "forgiving" if you made some small substitutions, just don't mess with the broth...it is perfection!

Donna's Chocolate Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
Great recipe! I wanted to make 2 full size loaf pans so I made 1.5 of this recipe and added more chocolate than called for. For a 1.5 batch I added 4 ounces of melted semisweet chocolate and about 1/4 cup coco powder. I also toasted the almonds for extra flavor and texture. The bread turned out perfect. Topped it off with a simple white glaze. It's a keeper!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
This is a great recipe. For chocoholics out there...I doubled the recipe and used 2 cups regular choc chips and 2 cups mini choc chips. The mini's distribute really well in the cookie and make them extra chocolatey! Thanks for a great recipe!
