About this Cook
Lived in many parts of the world and US and enjoy a large variety of cuisine... I have lived in the Middle East, Sweden, and 5 States in the US.. Florida, Texas, California, Nebraska and Iowa. I have also traveled around the world, and have picked up various tastes and cooking techniques along the way.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite is cooking our family recipe for pasta sauce. Grandmother immigrated to US from Italy and we have passed the technique down. I also enjoy ethnic cuisine... particularly Indian and Greek, but also enjoy many others. I make a decadent Mousaka and is also another favorite I like to make when I have the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family heritage is mainly Italian (and some Irish and Czech). I rarely eat Italian out at restaurants as I cannot find any that makes a truly robust pasta sauce like my grandmother's and mother's recipe. I do like to try family-run Italian restaurants as they tend to have very good and unique sauces and recipes and it's great to try them. I tend to avoid chain Italian restaurants and will order dishes that don't have red sauce if I end up going.
My cooking triumphs
Watching everyone finish off my recipes when I entertain. I love to entertain and have dinner parties.
My cooking tragedies
None yet, but will certainly fess up when/if one happens. :)

Chicken Paprikash I
This is a very authentic-tasting recipe. I used boneless skinless chicken because that is what I prefer. I used Hungarian Sweet paprika, which I think is a must for that authentic taste and aroma. I also easily doubled the sauce, because we like having lots of sauce.
