Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
oh boy, this is soooo gooood! Much better than i thought!! After making a batter, i wasn't sure how it would turn out cuz the batter looked hard, a bit like cookie dough BUT it turned out to be soft & moist inside, a bit hard outside with 18 mins., and it just PERRRRFECT!! Me & my bf agreed this is even better than banana/blueberry bread we both fell in love with, and we will be making this MORE OFTEN than that bread, for sure. And this is easy to make!! I didn't change a thing in the recipe!! thanks for this GREAT recipe!! :-)

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
I followed the recipe to the tee. It was DELIIIIISH!! I wouldn't change nor adjust in the future, and i'll definitely bake this again, on special occasion, like today, Christmas day! :-) I baked the night before, and it was delisious. It was moist & just perfect. I thought the frosting would change this perfect red velvet cupcakes, but it didn't. I made the frosting in the morning (so the cupcake would be cooled Completely). I usually give 4 stars IF i like it, and I give 5 stars cuz this was perfect! Thanks for the recipe. Everyone luved it!! :-)

Foolproof Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
this was goooood! Cuz of SEMI-sweet chocolate chips? it wasn't too sweet like other fudges you can buy them from the store. I used parchment paper in the pan & left it in fridge for over night. No problem of taking fudge out from the pan. It got very hard, though, to cut, and i had to leave the fudge outside (50F room temp.) for a couple of hours before being able to cut them nice. I wonder, though, IF i cut them after 2 hrs, and then, refrigerate in a air tight container, it might be easier to cut them nice...i just didn't want to make cracks but rather having perfect squares. i'll try that next time, and with miniture marshmallows. I made with walnuts for my bf's father's 60th birthday party and everybody loved it cuz it wasn't TOO Sweet, but just right :-) I'll make these again, for gift giving in holidays :-)

Cinnamon Bread Delight

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
it was yummy! My bf likes it who doesn't like cinnamon much. I baked 1 loaf, so i put half of all the ingredients in the recipe, except using brown sugar for half instead of all white sugar, as somebody suggested.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
To our opinion, it was Very good, and 3 tbs of OJ made it more fruity. Next time, i'll reduce to 2tbs, although my bf liked it as the recipe calls for. I brought it to thanksgiving gathering. It was a hit, not a big hit though. i had 1/3 of the big casserole dish left over, but me & bf enjoyed the left overs next two day! LOL

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
i made 2 batches; 1 as it's been written - cream chheese mixture on top of the batter, and sprinkle the streusel topping. 2 as somebody commented - batter, cream cheese mixture, BATTER again before the streusel topping, and me & my bf definitely loved the latter. I didn't put the cream cheese in the middle but tried to cover it up with maybe 1 tbs batter. I also think, this muffins would be good without the cream cheese mixture. It just gives the variety from others who's been eating pumpkin streusel muffins, alwlays. I liked the fact this recipe called for olive oil. This was my first time to bake muffins with olive oil and i think it came out LIGHTER (not dense) i like!

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
It was tasty! Since i knew i would sprinkle the sweet crumbles which the recipe says, i used 3/4 sugar of which is required in the recipe, to make muffins. Everytime when i bake something with apples, i always wonder what kind of apples people use...i used Gala cuz it was on sale ;-) If i didn't sprinkle the crumbles, i would've followed the recipe. I'm sure i'll make this muffins again!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
The taste was good, and i think i'll use this recipe again, BUT i had hard time rolling the dough out after keeping it in fridge over night...I asked bf to roll it out! While i was cutting, the dough started to soften a bit, and it baked well. It is Very Sweet though...i wonder i can cut the sugar by some...although I know that I'm making Sugar Cookies...lol

Polish Meat and Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
Very Good.I'll make them again, but next time, i'll put LESS oil. I had to drain oil after cooking the vegies and even patted with papertowl over those vegis, trying to get more oil from them. Then I added Kielbasa and i got more oil. So next time, i'll cut the amount in half, and see what happens. Otherwise, simple, easy& good:-)

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
this is sooo good. I just baked it, in one 9x5x3, using 1/2 of the whole ingredients. i TOTALLY forgot to put the walnuts, and i really regret it. I'm sure it would be even BETTER if i put the walnuts in this bread...Maybe it was too much batter, and i had to bake about 1hr 20mins, til the toothpick became clean when i inserted in the middle of the bread, and the both edges got hardened, so probably it would be better to use the whole amount of ingredients & the pans she calls for. But Still, the taste is amazing!!! now, i'm typing this, eating the piece of the bread, still can see the STEAM coming out of it, and i put the whipped cream on the top! YUMMYYYY!!

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
i looked for the side dish, to accompany with Mabo-Tofu tonight. I had only broccoli & carrots but it turned out good. I didn't add the ginger at the last step, though. And i probably won't add oil to stir fry the marinated vegis cuz the dish turned out to be a bit oily. The marinade sauce already has oil in it, i think it will be enough oil for me. Overall, it was simple as a side dish, and tasted good.

Strawberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
This was easy & delicious, as others have said. When I told my bf what was the ingredients, he complained that he wanted to have cinammon streudel coffee cake but i wanted to try something new, and since i had fresh strawberries in the fridge, i chose this recipe, after reading some reviews. I'm glad i made this, and for two of us, i personally luved 8x8 size! This is good, and i'll definitely make it again, with NO change to this recipe! :-)

Tofu Parmigiana

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
My bf luved it but wants me to add some kind of meat (i think this will defeat the purpose of using Tofu!!), and more vegis! The taste was pretty good. I'll make again, but this time, as i read in some review, i'll use eggs instead of water, to coat bread crumbs mixture. I think i coated too thin... I had about half of bread crumbs mixture left...

Triple Strawberry Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
It was too sweet for us. I think it's because of the jello (flavored gelatin). Easy to make so i'll keep this recipe, for the big party but i probably won't crave for this.
