Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2001
This recipe is tasty to soy sauce fans. If you're not a big soy sauce lover, then you may want to reduce the amount of soy sauce.

Creamy Chicken Breasts

This recipe is fine, but it needs more taste. Maybe more spices and marinate longer?

Lemon and Thyme Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2001
Excellent recipe, but be careful when putting the chops on an open-flame grill. They will be HIGHLY flamable.

Carne Con Papas

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2001
Excellent Cuban recipe. The only change to make it authentic is not to blend the vegetables. Leave them in 1" strips. Also, you'll want to add frozen peas. One tip: serve in the sauce. Do not drain it. Allow everyone to serve themselves so they can get as much sauce as they want.

Gulaschsuppe

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2001
This recipe needs some spicing up. It's a bit bland and takes a long time for the results. I thought there were too many green peppers. They overwhelm the dish.

Garden Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2001
Dry and tasteless. Good for a low-fat meal, but it definitely needs more flavor.

Tex-Mex Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2001
Delicious, but slightly too tangy. Maybe reducing the lemon juice and excluding the cilantro will help.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2001
Excellent recipe and very easy. Add a few vegetables half-way and it will be perfect! Can also be easily converted to a stew by simply adding water!

Turkey a la Matt

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2001
Not a very good recipe. Too much of a kid's meal. A lot like a pot pie, but with silly saltine crackers. Will work better by simply excluding the crackers. Bread crumbs may work well, but this recipe begs for a pie crust.

Arroz con Pollo II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2001
Very easy and tasty recipe. You can use lots of substitutes in this too, especially a tasty pasta sauce for the tomato sauce.

Cuban Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2001
Good, but it would be better if not cooked for so long. I cut 8 minutes off the time, and everything was already very soggy.

Brenda's Italian Style Patties

Very strange recipe. My wife liked it a lot more than I did. Tastes like a mix between meatloaf and pizza.

Excellent recipe! Subtract one of the chile peppers or leave them out completely to make it even more authentic.

Lazy Daisy Cake III

Very easy to make, but just not a very good cake. Pre-packaged store-bought cake mixes are twice as good.

Wonderful! Just like Grandma used to make! Tip: use an electric mixer, not a blender.

Buttered Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2001
Just not a very good biscuit recipe. If you "drop by rounded teaspoons", you'll end up with 60 teaspoon-sized biscuits. Round them by hand instead into small patties. They will double in size when baked.

Szechuan Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2001
Good but a little bland. Needs a lot of spices and some additional vegetables (cabage, carrots, etc) to match restaurant-style Szechuan. A good start though.
