Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
I've always tried to get my baked chicken and I this recipe did it with a few minor changes. Instead of olive oil, I used to eggs to save calories and fat in the meal. I added the salt, pepper and basil to the eggs and coated the chicken with this before I coated them in the bread crumb and parmesan mixture. Like others, I used Panko crumbs. I believe this was the key to the chicken's crunchiness! Great recipe overall! Definitely a staple

Creamy Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
This recipe was easy and the potatoes came out creamy and flavorful! I doubled the recipe and it came out perfect. The cheese and sour cream mix well and make these mashed potatoes creamy! No grave required! Also, with the sodium in the chicken broth, no salt is needed, just a dash of pepper.

Boneless Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
The sauce isn't hot enough for a real Texan. Use your own sauce and bake the strips. They will come out crispy and finger lickin' good. But only coat the strips once because your flour mix will get all wet and won't coat well.

Sister Schubert's® Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Would be better if it included more peppers and spices. It's too simple and you'd be better of just buying a can of sloppy joe mix. I added in some Blue Moon beer for extra flavor but it didn't help. Too plain.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Great recipe. Like other users, I used chicken broth instead of water to simmer the veggies & chicken with. I added a can of condensed mushroom soup to the sause to make it a little thicker. This also gave it a GREAT taste when it was all done. I didn't have any celery seed on hand, so I used salt, peper, garlic salt & some poultry seasoning. Instead of pouring the sauce over the chicken mixture, I added the chicken mixture to the sauce before putting it all in the casserole dish. Lastly, before putting it all in the oven, I added a can of peas. Great recipe! tasty and filling.

Simple Country Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Good recipe for the simple individual. We used beef ribs instead of those little girl pork ribs and boiled them in Carolina BBQ sauce for 1 hour. Then when the grill was nice and flaming we put the ribs on. After about 10 mins they were nice and crispy. Yum! We added more BBQ sauce before serving. Was fingering licking good while watching college ball.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
This recipe was hearty & delicious. I made some changes to speed up the process a little - I threw in mushrooms and onions with the beef cubes while they browned. I used both onion soup & beef broth. The onion soup just didn't seem like enough. I had some celery on hand and added that with the veggies. Finally, I added a can of peas a little before I served up the dish.

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
We are from Texas where chili is judge harshly and this recipe is great! We make it at least once a month and my husband loves it. We add a little spice by doubling the red pepper flakes. My husband also has a bad habit of drinking the beer if I put it on the counter so I wait to get that last. Hook 'em Horns!
