Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2014
I made this recipe the other day and it is really good. I didn't have any mushrooms or wine but it still came out great without them. It would probably have been even better if I had used at least the wine. Next time I make this, I will make it with the mushrooms and wine...and I will make it again. My husband loved it too.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
We thought this was pretty good. It wasn't runny but I made it the day before we ate it and the rhubarb wasn't tough at all. We really enjoyed the recipe. Thanks.

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
Loved this recipe. I only made the biscuits for it then used sweetened strawberries and whipped cream. I didn't have any baking powder (can you believe that??!) so I used half the amount of baking soda as a substitute. I also just cut the butter in and it worked out fine. It wasn't too sweet or too dry and it was perfect for short cakes! We loved the flavor of these...I will be making these again! Maybe next time I will follow the recipe exactly but I don't know how they could get better!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
I have made this recipe twice and it is great. It's fast and easy to make and very tasty. The first time I made it I didn't have any cream so I used evaporated milk...believe it or not it was really good. The second time I made it as instructed and it was great! I will be making this one again.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2012
I know the crust is supposed to be soggy but I think we would like this crispy more. We made this like the recipe says but we weren't crazy about it. It was like a jaeger schnitzel but it just wasn't as good. Glad to try it but probably won't make again.

Very good and easy. I used canned chicken. My favorite part was the almonds. I loved the crunch! Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Noodle and Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
This is an easy recipe...great when you have some one unexpectedly sick! The only changes I made were that I didn't have the broth so I used Knorr concentrated chicken stock and 7 cups of water and I used Orzo instead of the noodles. I really liked this recipe and I would make this again.

Yummy Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
Delicious! I also cut back on the sugar...3/4 c. on the blueberries and maybe a little more on the top. It was plenty and this is very tasty cobbler. I didn't have any whole milk so I used evaporated instead and it worked just fine. I didn't find my batter to be thin as some have said. It was just right for cobbler. And the blueberry mixture thickened up just right. This is easy to make and I am with the one who wanted to eat the whole thing by their self! Perfect with Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
I made these following the directions except I used pecans instead of walnuts and I used butter instead of margarine in the frosting. We really enjoyed these. The batter looks really dry at first but once you add the Zucchini it gets moist. It's really fudgy. Thanks for the recipe!

Italian Cream Soda

I was paying for these at our favorite restaurant then decided I could have any flavor I wanted at home for a fraction of the price...They are so refreshing and delicious. My favorite flavor is vanilla and my husbands is raspberry.

Banana Cake V

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
Probably the best banana cake I have ever had. The only thing I did different was I didn't have enough cake flour so I made up the difference with all purpose flour (it still worked) and I added mini choc. chips and pecans. This would have been great without them but I just had the craving for them today. My husband loved this as well. Thanks for a great recipe and it's easy to make!

The only thing I did different to this recipe was I added the chicken broth instead of water. This is easy to make and very tastey. I would make this again.

Smothered Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
I made this as directed to in the recipe except I didn't have that kind of cheese...I subed it for the Kraft Mexican cheese. This recipe is great with or without the cheese. We all loved it. It's easy to make and the onion/bacon mixture really tops it off. I would definitly make this again!

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
I made this for my son-in-laws b-day. The only things I did different was I added a big scoop of peanut butter to the batter. After I baked the cake and cooled it, I put Reeses Peanut Butter Cup ice cream between the layers (I used one layer and froze the other). I could tell when I cut the cake layer in half that it would be great for decorating...it's very moist, not crumbly or dry. It was placed in the freezer over night then I put hot fudge sauce on the top and then I cut up some peanut butter cups to decorate it. It was great! Very rich but he loves peanut butter cups and this hit the spot...we all loved it! I froze half of the cake...it freezes well. This cake is better than a box mix and extremely moist! Thanks for a great recipe

I made this for work...everybody loved it! It is like scalloped potatoes and ham with a twist to it (Alfredo sauce is great with it!). Pretty easy to make too.
