No-Guilt Zesty Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
i just made this in the afternoon and ive eaten half of it. its so yum! made as the recipe stated but decreased the horseradish since my son isnt a fan. TOO GOOD! **edited** ive been omitting the bacon bits in some batches of this and using it in place of ranch and sour cream in most any dish and you cant tell the difference. its good on salads too. man its just good.

Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
the only change i made was i used 2 small plum tomatoes chopped instead of 1/4 tomato sauce since i only had a big can and i couldnt see opening it for such a small amount. very good with rice and beans. we made these into burritos.

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
this needs more milk like all the reviews stated ( almost) i did prepare it as written but had to add more milk based on what i was going to use it for. i had to cook a giant sunday dinner on the fly so no time to make a home made dessert. i bought a lemon cake from the bakery and poked holes in it and made this glaze to the right consistency and poured it over the cake and garnished it with lemon slices. very good and simple and thats just what i wanted.

Slow-Cooked Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
i had to adapt this recipe a little to what i had on hand. i didnt have any cream soup so i used sour cream and i used an 8oz package and made up the other 12 ounces with evaporated milk, a few coarsely chopped mushrooms and i used chicken bullion and chopped red onion instead of the soup mix. i used butter instead of margarine and i used a little less parm and some shredded sharp cheddar since i didnt have a full 1/4 cup. this was very good i havent made many chicken and rice type casseroles but this is going in the rotation. we had bread and butter and a salad. comforting.

my little girl loved this! i did decrease the sugar by half and used canola oil since i dont keep sunflower seed oil on hand. i also used minced onion. very easy very good and i got a full bottle of dressing from the leftovers. i think it will get even better as it sits and the flavors meld. excellent recipe.

BLT Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
I made this as a side dish to go with soup so I cut the bacon in half and used less croutons I left the lettuce, tomato and dressing the same. My bacon was maple which I think lended a little sweet to the dressing but nobody seemed to mind it with the potato soup. Excellent and easy.

Amy's Cheesy Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
i kept to the recipe except i used 5 cans green beans, added a splash of milk and omitted the salt. everything else stayed the same. this is fantastic. it made a big roaster pan full and it was almost all gone at the end of christmas dinner. i like it with the cheese in it. i liked this recipe because it didnt call for velveeta which isnt a staple in my kitchen. awesome recipe.

This isnt complicated but its good. I made taco salads and had soem unseasoned ground beef leftover so I made it into these to have something on hand for my family to eat. I did add a very small squeeze of rooster sauce and some garlic. Very easy simple and good and I always have this stuff on hand. Excellent.

Grandpa Bob's Spicy Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
I added rooster sauce since I didnt have hot pepper and the sauce had plenty of kick. I made 36 servings and ended up with enough for my chicken and a full quart jar. I used some on my husbands chicken sandwich today and its better the longer it sits. Its not sweet at all so if you want it sweet add some brown sugar. A great sauce.

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
Excellent I did up it to 12 servings to feed a crowd I didnt change anything and it was perfect. I served it on toast with leaf lettuce, tomato, avacado and stackers dill pickles. My mother in law asked for the recipe and my houseguest who swore he didnt eat egg salad had a couple sandwiches. I think it would be good with a little rooster sauce too. 5 stars.
