Egg Salad I

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
i added a few small ribs of celery. my onion was a sweet yellow. a good quick supper placed on whole grain bread paired with a yogurt cup and fruit for when the kids are rushing out of the house.

i used dukes mayo and added onion and fresh diced red pepper instead of pimentos.. this is good on its own but after i chilled it i adjusted it to my familys taste and added a little rooster sauce.

Chicken Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: May 10, 2013
i used grape tomatoes instead of plum and i added in some veggies that had to be used up ( cucumber, onion and red pepper ) i used a creamy italian dressing from this site to dress it.. i did scale it back some so that it would feed us a simple lunch. i did not use the full 4 oz of feta cheese since its really expensive i just crumbled a good amount over the top ( maybe 2 oz) i used 1/2 bag rotini pasta and 1 large chicken breast. very good lunch with crackers. easily stretchable with extra vegetables since chicken breast is pricey at the moment and i dont think canned would give the same result. excellent.

i substituted evaporated milk. i didnt find this at all too sweet. i used it as a base for banana pudding. i made a double batch and it was gone in 2 days.

Stove Top Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2013
i cooked as the recipe stated. my roast was big so it took about 4 hours. i tasted the broth of this and ended up tweaking it before i served it. if i make this again ill use beef broth instead of water, up the garlic and use a bigger onion. it wasn't bad it just wasn't good.

i made this for my son tonight and he loved it. for me I would cut back on the horseradish but that's just a personal preference.

Green Bean and Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
best served warm or room temperature the dressing ( for me) tends to get too gloppy after its been in the fridge. if I made this for a party I would use white wine vinegar and it wouldn't turn the potatoes brown.

Citrus Garlic Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
this was.. interesting. i used generic catalina that i needed to use up since its too greasy to use on salads. i just added what i thought was the right amount of sun dried tomatoes.. a whole half cup is almost all my stash. i think this recipe could use some tweaks but i dont think ill have the dressing just sitting in the fridge again..

not special but went good with enchiladas. i used a cheddar/jack cheese mix and ended up adding a little franks hot sauce to give it extra heat on my plate.

this salad is so good. i think i would double it since it fed 6 and everyone was looking for more salad. i used white wine vinegar since its what i had and upped the garlic since we like it. also i dont think the lemon and lime juice are needed i just used 2 tablespoons of lime juice. excellent.
