One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2013
Bland taste, not enough chocolatey flvor. The texture and appearance were perfect and my cakes came out of the pans easily. However, the flavor was disappointing.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2013
This a good caramel apple pie, not great. I make a much tastier caramel sauce which, in my opinion, should include vanilla. Also, it was a bit too much sauce which probably cause some reviewers' pies to be runny. Also, 8 apples is just way too much, 5-6 average apples is plenty. If you use a lattice crust, pour most of the sauce onto the apples, stir, then place in the crust. Save a little bit to brush on the crust if desire. Pouring over the lattice will guarantee that the sauce sits on top and you will have unevenly coated apples. As for adding spices, that is individual taste. I do like cinnamon in my apple pie.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
Awesome! I love the tangy flavor. It didn't need 8 hours in my crock pot though, 4-5 should be enough. I start it off on high and then switch over to low after about an hour.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
Really good! I gave the recipe a 4 because it doesn't mention seasoning the chicken with salt and pepper before using the breading. You really need to season first for best flavor. The second time I made this, I used Italian seasoning instead of just basil and I like it even better.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
This was my very first turkey and it came out flavorful and moist. Everyone loved it. The only tricky thing is turning the turkey but it is worth iit. I followed the recipe exactly. Also, if your oven cooks quiuckly, you may want to cook the bird at 325 for a longer time than 350.

Red Velvet Cake IV

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
This was my first time making a Red Velvet cake. I bake and cook a lot and figured it was time to try this old standard. My cake came out fabulous! I got many compliments and people asked for a second slice.

So, so easy and quick to make! I made this as is twice and, it was a hit both times. It is a versatile recipe, too. I am going to layer in shredded chicken or black beans next.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
I was excited to taste these because they looked pretty coming out of the oven. The texture was very nice, crispy and chewy. So, what was the problem? The taste was bland. I've tried a few other cookie recipes on this site and they were all good tasting even with different textures/thickness. Probably won't use this recipe again.
