Chicken Diablo

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I made the mistake of using regular hot sauce, buffalo sytle and it was not spicy enough. It was still delish though!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
OH my GOOD. This cake was a huge hit with even my picky eaters. Like suggested, I used the substitute for marscapone and it tasted great as the filling. I would make this in advance, the extra day allows the coffee flavor to set into the cake and the filling taste to soften - each day after making it was a little bit better!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This frosting is amazing!!! It tastes like frosting from the bakery with the perfect consistency for pipping. At the recommendation of other reviewers, I took the shortening to 1.5 cups and .5 cup butter. I did not use 8 cups of sugar, more like 7. It turned out excellent. This is my new go to frosting recipe. One word of caution, it makes a LOT of frosting. I made 24 cupcakes and still had about half the frosting left over.

Spaghetti Squash with Pine Nuts, Sage, and Romano

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
I found the sage overpowering, I would use only 1 Tablespoon instead of 2.

Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
Great recipe, was awesome with Fritos Scoops to use for dipping. I increased the hot sauce, it gave it a great kick. One thing about this recipe- once you bake it, the dip does come out with a greasy coating on the top. Unappealing and unhealthy. I blotted the grease off the top and then it was excellent.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
I must have rolled my cookies too thick because the cutters totally lost their shape after baking. I had to repress the cookies after baking and the edges were a bit ragged. Not as 'pretty' as I hoped, but they did taste wonderful. At the other reviewers suggestion, I added an additional cup of sugar and doubled the vanilla and the cookie flavor was delish.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
These are AWESOME! Not dry like many other turkey burgers, adding the Worchestershire and Soy sauce rounds out the recipe. I did need a little more bread crumbs than called for to hold the patties together but the crumbs gave the exterior a yummy crunch. This is going to be a go to recipe for grilling!!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
I made these into Cake Pops instead of Cake Balls. If you slide a lollipop stick into the FROZEN cake ball, it's super easy to roll around and coat in chocolate! Easy once you get a hang of it, they look impressive and taste delish.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
I thought this was delish and rated it a 5. My husband thought it was a 4. We typically like our buffalo sauce pretty hot so I doubled the hot sauce but it wasn't overwhelming.

Gourmet Pretzel Rods

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
I let these set on the wax paper after dipping the caramel and planned to then dip them in the chocolate. I am not sure if I let them sit too long??? but the caramel was glued to the wax paper and couldn't be peeled off. I had to throw them out. Don't wait to dip them in chocolate like I did or they will be ruined!

Cheesecake Cookie Cups

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
These are too easy and delicious. I needed more than 2 tablespoons of cheesecake mixture, otherwise they don't fill up the full cupcake/muffin all the way. Instead of the cherry topping, I decorated the cheesecake with a couple chocolate morsels in the center. Rave reviews from all! These also hold up really well for a few days if you are planning to make them in advance and store them in the fridge before serving.

Easter Egg Dipper Treats™

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
These were so easy and delish. Thanks for the helpful hint to use a plastic Easter egg to shape the treats, I only needed to spray the inside of the egg the first time with a bit of cooking oil and I used a larger Easter egg. Cooking oil spray on your hands also helps, and wait about 4-5 minutes after coating the Rice Krispies to shape the eggs otherwise they are just too hot and sticky. They were the most popular Easter dessert - both children and adults loved them. All the family members commented on how adorable they were. Will make again next year!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
The sour cream is so much better than the bland and watery cream of mushroom soup! It's zesty, but I think 3/4 cup is perfect- I can see how other reviewers suggested 1 cup was too much. 3/4 cup seemed just right. I also added French's Fried Onions, it's just not green bean casserole without.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Delish. The only thing I would change is to butter the bread before popping it in the oven. Even just a spritz of spray butter or a dab/mist of olive oil. Without, the bread is too hard and crunchy. Otherwise, the recipe is super easy and the ingredients are perfect.
