Very good as is! I add our favorite Jams/Jellies on top with generous dallops. Try blackberry and marmalade for ideas. Scrumptious!

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
I didn't have dijion mustard so I used reg. yellow mustard and I didn't have lemon juice so I used a tsp. of white vinegar to add the tartness (which the mustard does also.) I also added 1 tsp. dill relish well drained and 1 tsp. well drained sweet relish. Then I used chopped chives to add color, texture and wonderful taste! I think this recipe is a great base but really needs 'punched' up! :) I also think 1/2 lemon juiced is going to be too much liquid and make it runny as some people have stated. If you can use fresh ground black pepper do so, it really makes it great as an ending flavor. Enjoy. MM

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I made this for a sunday brunch and I didn't change a thing EXCEPT, I threw in a couple handfuls of walnuts....I say handfuls because I didn't measure them I just tossed some left over walnuts I had, into the mix...scrumptous! OH and I do rec. leaving out a few pieces of white bread from a loaf to 'stale' and harden up some the night before or use texas toast style...no soggies here! I'll make this again and again and again.... Enjoy! MM

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Exactly the recipe I use. BUT, I poke the skin of the squash with a fork in a few places, then microwave it on high for about 5-6 mins. then I slice it into thick slices. Spread them on a cookie sheet lined w/ foil and then add cin., brown sugar, dash of nutmeg and butter then bake as recipe says. 350* for about an hour or til tender with a poke of a fork. SCRUMPTIOUS!! (check after 30 to 40 mins to not over cook!)

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
People! Do NOT change anything other than adding extra Jalapeno's if you like it extra spicey. Other than that this recipe is EXACTLY how it should be! So FANTASTIC and oh so easy!! Enjoy! I liked it w/ Stacey's bagel chips (Parmesan flavor). Oh and use FRESHLY GRATED Parm. it's soooo much better as it says. Enjoy....again! :) M.M.

Mashed Potato Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
This recipe is so SIMPLE, EASY and scrumptous! I followed this fantastic recipe to the letter except, I added 1/4 cp. of shredded cheddar cheese and mixed in well along with the other ingredients in the bowl. I baked for alotted time and they were so GOOD...no EXCELLENT! My adult kids love these and ask for me to make them when they visit. This is also a quick easy snack for when your hungry but no time for a big dinner. My son topped his with sour cream while the rest of us used gravy. Hope this helps anyone who reads it. Enjoy like we did. MM

Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Strata

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I made this on a sat. morning and after reading reviews first, I decided to use 1cp. extra sharp chedder(shredded) and 1cp. shredded chedder then I added 1/2tsp of paprika and some chopped jalapeno. This really set it off. My husband and our grown kids loved this. Even my 6 yr old grand daughter asked for more...showing not too spicey even for a little girl. Very easy and so very good.

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
This is exactly how I make mine, BUT I don't use maple sausage, just mild or spicy sausage and for an extra 'yummy factor' I add one can crm. mushroom soup. It makes it even more rich and delightful, my family has loved my sausage gravy and biscuits so much they've even requested it for dinner! :)

I'd leave out the onions or use more crackers because mine were way too moist and fell apart in skillet. :(
