Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
Easy and delicious! I make this once a week, following the directions exactly. I just don't feel this recipe needs tweaked, which is something I usually do. I like to serve this with wild rice, sauteed veggies and extra sauce.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
First time making cabbage rolls, and I found them to be a little bland. Maybe this is just how they are supposed to be, but I will make again, next time adding a little extra spice. Maybe cayenne?

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
Wonderful! This tasted very authentic and was just delicious! However, this took me much longer than 10 minutes, because I was out of tomato sauce and had to make my own. I will continue to make this enchilada sauce using my homemade tomato sauce!!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Great comfort food! I followed the recipe as written, and added sliced mushrooms after flipping the patties. Served with mashed potatoes and corn. Everyone liked this, will make again.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
Very good, versatile, and easy. I added minced garlic and green pepper and mixed it all together rather than layer it (only because i was feeling kinda lazy). Be sure to cover this with foil so it doesn't dry out in the oven, and remove foil during the last 15 minutes to brown the top. The kids and husband loved it, so I will be making this again, adding a can of diced tomatoes.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
This was very good and SO easy! I followed the directions exactly, but added some Worcestershire, a package of quartered white mushrooms and a sweet onion thinly sliced. This made plenty of liquid and sliced very easily. I also sliced the beef and added back into the liquid for the last 40 minutes or so. Will definitely make again!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
After reading all the reviews, I made a few changes. First, I put frozen chicken breasts in slow cooker on high for 3 hours with some chicken broth, worcestershire and a little liquid smoke. Then I drained the broth, shredded the chicken and added a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's original bbq sauce, 2 Tbs Worcestershire, only 1/4 cup of Italian dressing, NO brown sugar, 1 tsp minced garlic and added half of a finely diced red onion and finished it on low for another hour. The chicken was very moist, shredded easily and had very good flavor. I only gave 4 stars because I changed it a bit. I will make this again with my modifications.

Bacon Chicken II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
I have been making a version of this for years. When I make it, I first cook the chicken covered in foil without sauce for about 30 minutes while frying bacon in skillet until done, along with diced onions. When the chicken is done, I add bbq sauce (i use sweet baby rays original recipe, as it goes great with this recipe), top with the cooked bacon and onion and some shredded cheddar. Then I pop it back in the oven long enough to melt the cheese. The submitter is right, it does pair well with mac & cheese. (but it is not a "trailer park" meal). I serve mine with mac &cheese OR wild rice and pineapple is a perfect compliment to this dish. HIGHLY recommended!!! (with the alterations I use my whole family gives this a five star rating!)
