About this Cook
My Mom and I love to try different things. We made our own homemade canned applesauce and canned fresh pie pumpkin this year. I have my little doggies (Havanese) which I breed. My hens which give us lots of fresh eggs and we love to garden. I raised meat kings this year for the freezer and they weighted up to 11 lbs dressed. YUMYUM!!
My favorite things to cook
Love to do anything. I worked in restaurants for years and learned alot of neat things. I worked as a baker and cake decorator so I like to make cakes and decorate them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We come from a big family so get togethers are great with lots of different foods but the traditional is our familys favorite.
My cooking triumphs
Breads and more breads. Pumpkin bread zuccini bread and the yeast breads too. Fruit baskets and cheese plates, OH and breakfast stuff too (thats my favorite to do) homemade waffels with fresh cream and berries. Homefries and salmon eggs benedic.
My cooking tragedies
I made a cake that I included the homemade icing recipe at the end of the recipe into the cake! Never do that! I baked and iced the perfect shower cake for a shower at church and then tried to hurry and put it in the box so I could go to earlie church and turned it upside down on the floor. I missed earlie church and grocery provided me with a slab cake which I iced and decorated.

Jalapeno Pepper Jelly
This recipe is better with fresh Jalapeno's cut up and this is why Katieklg your jelly didn't set. Too much juice from the canned Jalapenos.

Bran Muffins II
I didn't change these except I just used cups of sugar. They were still great.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
I did the recipe and then I used a warmed sour cherry chutney I make toplace over top after slicing. Added sweet potato double baked, string beans with slivered almonds and it was a wonderful supper.
