Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
I have tried soooo many chocolate cakes from Allrecipes.com--and now I can stop looking! This is the best chocolate cake EVER! Rave reviews from everyone who eats it. It has also become the standard cake for each of my kids on their birthdays. Thank you so much for listing this recipe. It is one I will keep, pass on and make forever!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Delicious! Really the best peanut butter cookie we have ever had. And on top of that it is SIMPLE to make! 3 ingredients??! No one would guess! I have tried all the variations suggested, but there is little to no difference. So I follow the recipe to the letter. My suggestion? Triple or quadruple the recipe. We freeze the extra (if there is any). And, don't over cook them! They may not look done when you take them out, but they are. Wonderful and simple recipe! Can't speak highly enough about it. Thanks!

Creamed Eggs on Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
I grew up on something similar to this! We had it every year as an Easter breakfast. Now my own kids look forward to it each Easter too. (And all year round, for that matter.) No chicken bouillon for us as we have vegetarians in the house. We also just slice whole eggs right into the sauce. (Much easier.) And to those who said it "looks" bad--I totally disagree! It is a beautiful chunky white sauce over golden toast. This is a highly recommended dish that I know most will repeatedly make throughout the year. (BTW, in the army they made a version, sans the eggs, and instead with ground beef calling it "SOS". I am sure some military folks will know what that stands for!)

Irish Cream Liqueur II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
This should be your one and only Irish Cream Liqueur recipe! I made it a few years ago and then, unfortunately, "misplaced" the recipe. After a very frustrated search of all the other Irish Cream recipes that use chocolate syrup, I FINALLY found this one again! It seems to be the one and only that uses real milk chocolate in the recipe. What a huge difference in richness it makes! I will never lose this recipe again!

Creamy White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Man, just wasted 2 cups of cream and 1 1/2 cup wine when the whole thing CURDLED. I read the first 20 reviews and no one mentioned anything about being careful of curdling. No idea what happened, but am SOOOO disappointed. I need to read up on the science of how NOT to curdle you cream when adding wine.

Rice Cooker Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
Perhaps I have a different kind of rice cooker than others who reviewed this (though I really don't think I do...), but it simply did not cook the rice completely. Truly disappointed as it would have been so easy to make rice pudding had it worked. I even gave it a second shot and set the cooker at a longer setting, to no avail. Look for another recipe.

Zucchini Puffs

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2014
Deeply disappointed with recipes like this. What the heck is buttermilk baking mix??? There is absolutely no explanation or reference to what this is and where I can find it. I can see the reviews that say it is just flour and baking powder, but wish the recipe author would have broken it down all the way instead of me having to search it out.
