Savory Cheddar Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Delicious! Very much like a large biscuit with a light cheesy taste. Leftovers make excellent hot ham and cheese sandwiches.

Simple Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
Very yummy semi-homemade Stroganoff! One can of cream of mushroom soup wasn't nearly enough and I didn't have another, so I added a can of French Onion condensed and it worked perfectly. I also added 1/2 onion, diced and sauteed, and a small can of sliced mushrooms. I used minced garlic instead of powder. Very good!

Love these! No issues with them falling apart. I shredded the potatoes in my food processor so the whole dish was easy and great.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Excellent! No mushrooms for us and I used fresh baby spinach. I just wilted it in my hot bacon grease before cooking the onions. Very rich!

So tasty! My family thought it was a little too thick, but you can easily remedy with a little additional milk.

Old-Fashioned Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
Great basic cheese potatoes!! Kids especially love the American cheese in this recipe. I think they would be great with Cheddar or other cheeses, too, so I may try variations next time. Yummy as is though!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Very good, basic recipe! If you plan to shred the chicken 2 lg (or 3 med) breasts are plenty. As much as we love onions we prefer to leave them out of this recipe. Also prefer Bisquick dumplings instead of canned.

D-I-V-I-N-E. Truly delicious and extremely chocolately. The marshmallow is so good, too. I also think this would be excellent made in other flavors like butterscotch.

Mother's Pasties

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
Original is 3stars : LOVE the concept, but we thought the recipe needs a little work. The pie itself is pretty dry and the crust cooks too long. Next time I will definitely add a small amt of beef gravy plus a veggie like peas. Also I will pre-cook the filling and just bake in the oven long enough to cook the pie crust. 5star update : Made this again with changes and it was delicious! As stated above, precook the filling. Shortly before filling is tender, mix in a can of peas (or frozen) and about 2c beef gravy (use a mix or make a quick gravy w beef broth). Fill per recipe and bake just until crust is golden and tender. Yum!

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
Very good and super easy! IMO no need to cook on low... I just cooked it on high the whole time (about 4.5 hours) and it was incredibly tender and juicy. Per the other recommendations I seasoned with salt, pepper and thyme, drizzled a stick of melted butter over the whole thing, and added a little broth to the bottom (it doesn't actually need much broth if any at all).
