Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
These were astonishingly delicious. I loved them. They were just a bit too heavy/rich, but only the ones where I used the big mushrooms. Next time, I'll use all smaller mushrooms for a good balance.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
This was perfect and delicious! Exactly the broccoli and cheese soup recipe I was looking for! I've never worked with Velveeta/processed cheese loaf before, so I was a bit apprehensive about this recipe, but I'm glad I tried it. 5 stars.

Beer Dip I

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
This was tasty, but too.. I'm not sure. The powdered ranch was just too strong and salty, and even though it tasted good, I felt a bit sick after each bite. I'll probably make it again (with some tweaks), but my husband loved it as is.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
These didn't taste remotely like crab to me, but they were very good, and I'll almost definitely make them again. I didn't have any of the issues with them being very soggy or wet, and I did not do anything to dry out my zucchini, so.. maybe I was just lucky.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
This was pretty good. My husband liked it a lot more than I did. Next time I'll use more spinach and garlic and way less tomatoes.

Pasta with Salami and Peas

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I love this! I changed nothing about it, and I thought it was perfect. Much spicier than I expected.. which is a good thing! Yes, it is very greasy, but sometimes you're just in the mood for that. In fact (and you all might get on me for saying this), due to how greasy this dish is, I might think it's the perfect hangover food! Either way, though, I thought this was delicious and will 100% make it again.

Scallops Mascarpone

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
This was pretty good, my only complaint being that it called for way, way too much pasta. I hardly got a chance to taste anything else.

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
This is great! I took 3 tbsp Old Bay down to 1, and sprinkled some on the top as garnish. I kept the rest the same. This is truly delicious and I would recommend it to anyone with a taste for crab.

Turkey-Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
These were totally delicious! I'm not a huge fan of ground beef, but my husband misses stuffed peppers, so I've been hunting for a stuffed pepper recipe that doesn't call for ground beef. My first attempt, with a different recipe on this site, was a total failure -- but this was wonderful! The only change I made was to add lots of extra cheese. Other than that, everything was the same. These are great!

Stuffed Peppers Italian Style

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I guess I'm missing something that everyone else loved about these, because I didn't like them at all. They were way too dry and the flavors did not mesh together well. Even with the onions and garlic, they were pretty bland, except for the overwhelming taste of olive. We love anchovies and you could hardly tell there were any in these peppers. I will not be making this recipe again.

Hot Clam Dip II

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
This was quite good. Next time I'll try it with jalapenos for sure! My only problem is that there wasn't enough bread for the dip, so we were burning our fingers tearing the bread bowl apart near the end, haha.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
This was very tasty. I made mine in the slow cooker and added potatoes and an onion with an hour left to go.

Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
This was pretty tasty. I didn't change the recipe at all. There was nothing particularly outstanding about it, but not bad at all either. Good for a side dish.

Puffing Crab

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
This was easy to make and pretty good. It was a bit bland; it reminded me of a crab cake with less flavor. Next time I might add some green onions, tarragon, and more Old Bay. We'll see. Again, it was pretty good as is, and I'll probably make it again. I just felt it could have had a little something more.

Potato-Crusted Scallops

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
These were OK, but a little bland. Next time, I think I'll dip the scallops in a bit of egg and milk to hold the chips on better. I added a bit of white pepper and Old Bay to my finely crushed chips, but I think I should have added a lot more, considering the volume of chips; at least a teaspoon of white pepper and half a tablespoon of Old Bay next time. We'll see if that improves it.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
This was good, but did not taste like pepper steak as I expected. If I make this again, I will probably take another commenter's advice and add the green peppers at the very end, because they were very very mushy.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
This was wonderful! Next time, I will double or even triple the amount of jalapenos, but this is seriously delicious even if you follow the directions to a T.

Easy Cheesy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This turned out delicious, but the recipe was quite vague on cooking times. I heated the soup mixture just until the cheese melted into it, and I baked the whole concoction for 15 minutes. I made a few adjustments. 1) I only used 8 ounces of noodles, 2) I used 2 cans of tuna, 3) I substituted asparagus for mixed vegetables, and only used half as much, 4) I added just a pinch of mustard powder, 5) I added 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese to the topping. Haha, on paper, it looks like a lot of adjustments! Anyway, we really loved this, and the whole tray was gone in 15 minutes!

Mange-Tout (Sugar Snap Peas) Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
This was delicious! I added a bit too much Gorgonzola on accident, but the flavor was still wonderful. Yes, the sauce is quite thick, so next time I'll thin it out with some milk, but the taste is great. It was even better the next day, after refrigerating.

Crab Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
The sauce for this was too thick; I had to add whole milk to thin it out, and it was still very thick and tacky. The cayenne pepper was overwhelming and I could barely taste the crab (I even used more crab than the recipe called for, but it didn't help). It was OK, but really, no better.
