Gingerbread Cake with Lemon Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
Made this and it was great. I loved the flavor combination of the lemon vs ginger. Followed recipe and came out just as described.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Great but I did what a previous reviewer suggested which was marinade the chicken in the fridge and then put to the oven. My chicken came out with a light flavor and probably needed more marinate then what was given for the size. Next time, i will cut the chicken in to slices first and then marinate to cut cooking time and also to add more flavor to the chicken. I also suggest that you might increase the amount of marinate.

Great crust for those who like thin and crunchy crust and it can be frozen as well. We loved this one and use it often.

Lime Ice Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
I did alter it. I added 2 eggs, used 1 cup milk, 2 cups of cream, 1 cup of sugar, and used the same amount of lime juice they recommended. I then heated milk and sugar with lime peel. Beat eggs and make sure to temper to the milk and add the cream, lime juice and heat until it starts to become custard. Let sit in the fridge overnight and then add it to the ice cream machine. It tastes like key lime pie in ice cream form. Love it. Give it a try.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
I did change half and half to 1 cup milk plus added 1 cinnamon stick to the pot while it heated. This makes one box and has a fabulous taste. Highly recommend this for those who love cinnamon.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I like these cookies but they i prefer the flour ones. This takes a lot of sugar and peanut butter to make recipe. I found the first batch nearly burned with the given temperature so I lowered the temperature of the oven a little. I did double the recipe to make a good amount of cookies. I highly recommend them for those who do not want flour and want to do it quickly with no wait.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
I followed others people suggestions and cut way back on the butter to about 1 to 2 teaspoons per chop. At the end of the time, I removed the foil and broiled the chop for 5 mins but it could have been for 10 mins but was good texture and taste. I served with tomato rice and salad. I will use again.

Country Seed Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
I did this recipe with some difference because I live in Europe and we do not have all purpose flour here. I used a pre made flour mix called "Multicereal flour mix" (Pao Vitale)and did not have to add the seeds as this contained it. I then followed the rest of the recipe and it turns out fabulous. Give this a try.

Banana Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
I found this recipe very good but I do not consider this a crepe recipe because it was too thick and I did like it but this is more of a pancake batter. I recommend using Julia child recipe for crepes but if you really want to try this you will find it difficult to get it to be thin when putting in the pan. Flavor is good and you can try to use it as both pancake or crepe(not thin enough) but for the banana creme I did lower the quantity of the sugar and butter to make it less sweet so it comes out with great flavor but not overpowered with too much sugar. Highly recommend that you give it a try.
