About this Cook
Married for 20 years, a 17 yr. old daughter and 10 yr old twins (boy & girl) I have been cooking & collecting recipes ever since I was a kid.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and try new recipes, but I have to say that baking is my all time favorite thing to do. Cookies, cakes, breads,canides, etc....especially around the holidays. I love to pay special attention to details on my cookies....I put a little extra love in everything I make. So you know it is special and you are too :-)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Definately pumpkin bread, Christmas cookies, coloring eggs and Easter Breads.
My cooking triumphs
Starting an after-school "Cooking Club" program at my twin's elementary school. I enjoyed teaching as much as the kids loved learning (and taking their creations home!) It was a huge success!
My cooking tragedies
Melting white chocolate in a microwave....I thought I hit the timer for one minute, when actually I hit an extra zero! The chocolate burned and smoked so bad that we had to bring the microwave outside to get rid of all the smoke in the kitchen,and we had not even opened it up! Yes.....and threw the microwave away.

*Wow* This is a delicious summertime drink to serve to friends, simply wonderful! Be sure to serve in chilled glasses and garnish with white chocolate curls. This recipe is a keeper!

Super Easy Sloppy Joes
I omitted the sugar and added tobasco as suggested by other reviewers....it produced very good results. It also tasted better the second day as the leftovers as the flavors had time to meld. I would make this again!

Melissa's Mussels
Melissa's recipe is terrific, just like the other reviewers said! I served it over linguine and sprinkled red hot pepper flakes on top for an added kick. A must try!
