Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
I've been making this sauce for 5+ yrs because my daughter is such a pasta lover. I usually use the same amount of parmesan as the butter. You don't really need to use fresh ingredients as well. Pre-grated Parma and dried parsley is good enough.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
My husband and I are so in love with this white chili! Ive always hated turkey but I took the chance and I'm just so stunned. I used whatever white beans I have on hand and omitted the cinnamon.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
No complaint here. It's one of our favorite salmon recipes. I used panko instead of regular bread crumbs.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
Great snack! Made this for our movie night. The hardest part is waiting for it to be done because the house smelled so good. My caramel came out a little lighter than I wanted but I guess I didn't crank up the heat high enough. It was still awesome though. I added a mixture of chex mix that needed to be used up (accidently bought the low-sodium ones). I do like the chex mix but not with the darker chex. Maybe next time I will go to winco and pick out my own mix such as white rice chex, peanuts (by request), etc., and probably throw in some m&m's after being cooled.

Roasted Cajun Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I've been baking these for awhile now and they're so wonderful. Your neighbors will definitely smell these from outside. Nothing needs to be changed, it's great the way it is. If you want them cooked a little faster just cut it slightly thinner.

Simple Carnitas

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
This was my first time making carnitas and wanted something that was kid-friendly and easy to prepare. Got a winner here!!! My daughter loved it so much she kept coming back in the kitchen to taste while I was shredding it. She didn't want any other dressings on it, but just a tad bit of sour cream. Usually it's packed with sour cream and cheese or use bbq sauce because it was so tasteless.

Awesome Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
Light tasting and versatile which I liked. I don't use italian dressing much so I don't know if my dressing fell short on flavor. I had no problems with it though. To my availability, I used genoa salami, red bell pepper, red onion, green onion, asiago cheese and pepperoncini. I'm very pleased with all the ingredients combined but will add the pepperoni, tomatoes next time...black olives? IDK. Also, i added a touch of sugar and s&p.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
These are good, quick and easy. Sometimes I would use this sauce for stir frying vegetables without meat/poultry. Yes, double the sauce. Half for marinating the meat and the other half when your ready to stir in the vegetables.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2012
We really liked this. Just minor changes like doubling the spices, replacing some mayo with sour cream, adding green onions, and omitting the olives. I had planned on cubing up the cheese but my husband felt the cheese shouldn't be added.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Very good for something quick to fix. I prepped my butter mixture early and chilled it in the fridge. I also pan fried mine with a little drizzle of evoo since the grill was out of gas and broiler wasn't working right. After pan frying, I left the steak in the pan and topped it with the chilled butter and rested.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
It's very easy and tasty dish. I've been making this for years now. What I do is brown the roast first with oil, crushed garlic and some of the cream/dry onion mixture, then transfer it to the crock pot. Sometimes I would 1 can of cream of mushroom and it would be enough.

Teena's Spicy Pesto Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
Wow! Simple and fabulous! I had used andouille sausages that needed to be used, also, I didn't have chili paste, but did use the closest thing which was chili garlic sauce, and poured a bit of cream just to smooth out everything. We also made fresh linguine pasta (AR's basic pasta), so we felt it needed a touch of olive oil before serving. Served this with homemade italian bread (AR)with herbed oil/balsamic dip. Oh yeah, I hate cilantro so I omitted that.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Quick, easy, and really good! I had used the garlic butter as a base for our french bread pizza. It was a last minute decision because we were out of heavy cream to make alfredo sauce. Although we love oregano, we left it out because we added sweet italian sausages (had lots of herbs already in it) and bacon. Yuum!

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
I've always hated broccoli my whole life but this recipe changed my palate. Its spectacular! I give this a 5+. I only had minor changes and used splenda, added sunflower seeds, cut down a little bit of the cheese (mild cheddar) and onion (finely chopped) and added a pinch of cayenne. I will always remember my first lol. Thank you so much for this recipe.

This recipe had little ingredients, very easy to prepare and an absolutely tasty indian side dish. A great way to use up potatoes. Followed as directed but used red potatoes and kosher salt.
