Strawberry Romaine Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
I absolutely love this salad! My kids love it, too - and I have 4, so that is something. The dressing is easy peasy to put together and shake in the mason jar. I omit poppyseeds because one of my kids is allergic to them, but other than that, I stick to the recipe. I also use a fat-free mayo to make it healthier.

Beer and Brown Sugar Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
This was pretty good, even though I had to opt out of the teriyaki sauce (I thought I had some, but didn't) and use some soy instead. I would suggest a better cut of steak, however, because once you marinate a sirloin steak with salty ingredients, it tends to toughen the steak up. Good flavor, however, and my kids (even my hubby, who is a competition BBQer) enjoyed the sauce heated up and poured over top.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Not bad, not bad. I agree with another poster that it is missing that "depth" of flavor, but I cannot put my finger on what that is. I used a large, Costco loin, cut in half and cooked it on low for 5 hours. Came out moist, not chewy. The wine was a nice, subtle flavor, but it needed something a bit... more. Maybe kick it up a notch with chili flakes, or add onions to the "broth". We tried to make a gravy out of the liquid, but it never thickened. I think maybe reduce the water by half. Might make again with some additions.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
My husband is an amazing cook and whipped up this recipe for a tailgater last year and it was a HUGE hit. I myself do not like chili, but this was so good I have asked him to make it several more times. In fact, this weekend is the season opener and my birthday and I requested he make it for the party. Fantastic!

Chicken, Stuffing and Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
This is by no means a gourmet meal, so as long as you know this is a comfort, kid-friendly recipe you won't be disappointed. I added a can of wole kernal corn like someone else suggested and added some french fried onions for more texture. Must be my kids amazement, the LOVE this dish. I tossed on some extra pepper and Viola! I like!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
I made this for a dinner party of 10 and EVERY one of them loved it - none was left. I made it as a dip for chip, along with several others and also for pouring over the fish I BBQ'd. Put it this way - there wasnt any LEFT to put over the fish because it went so quickly as a dip.

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
LOVED this and I HATE horseradish! Made this for my engagement party full of meat lovers and used little smokies in ADDITION to the kielbasa and not a scratch was left! I added more horseradish than it called for because my fiance and his friends love spicy foods and I was still able to eat it with the extra kick. I am making it again tonight for some friends after all the raves it got!

Linguine and Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2002
I found this amazingly flavorful and a breeze to prepare. I am by no means a chef, so this was a relief to someone pressed for time like I am. I could have added a bit more garlic, but that is just my personal preference. Very good and hubby loved it!

Cheese and Artichoke Fondue

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2001
This was fantastic! This was my first fondue with my brand new fondue set and I was amazed at the ease (if you have an all in one fondue pot) and the taste was amazing! I had to improvise with red pepper flakes and not canned ones, but it was still terrific! I will make many, many times in the future!
