Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

I didn't have red onion, so I omitted that. I also subbed olive oil instead of walnut oil. I didn't have any and didn't want to make a special trip just for one item. WOW, WOW, WOW! I am in love with this salad. Try it and you won't be sorry.

Uncooked Banana Pudding

I brought this recipe to our family's Easter party. It was a hit and there weren't any leftovers. I made it the night before the party. I did squeeze lemon juice over the bananas to stop them from browning.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

This was a really good recipe. I ended up cooking the pork loin a little longer than stated. The meat was still very moist, tender and flavorful. I actually shredded the meat and put it on buns for sandwiches. We used the sauce from the slow cooker as an au jus. Yum!

Pecan Snack

There are no words to describe how good this is. The sweet/slightly salty/light delicate crunch of the pecan became like crack to me. I couldn't stop myself from devouring this stuff by the handful. I ended up giving half of it away so that I didn't eat too much. Go make this NOW!

Best Italian Sausage Soup

This soup got 5 stars from all of my family members. I made the following substitutions: 1. Used fresh spinach instead of zucchini 2. Used frozen tortellini instead of the fettuccine

Oaty Cereal Bars

These are good, but a bit too sweet. I would cut back on the honey the next time I make them. I boiled the mixture for a couple of minutes and that seemed to help the bars stick together instead of crumble apart.

Beer Lime Grilled Chicken

We love this recipe and have made it several times over the course of this past summer. I use chicken tenders to make grilling faster. The chicken has great flavor and is always tender and moist. This is a hit for sure.

Shoyu Chicken

This recipe was a hit at my house of picky eaters. I followed another users suggestion and put all of the ingredients (chicken thighs were frozen) into a pot and simmered for an hour. The chicken was so tender and well flavored. We fought over the leftovers!

Fish Fillets Italiano

This was an excellent recipe. I followed the recipe as stated. I served the fish with mashed potatoes, asparagus and texas toast. I would recommend serving with a bread so that you can catch all of the juice. Both my husband and I commented that it was the type of meal we would get at a restaurant.

Pasta e Fagioli II

This soup was good. I followed other reviewers suggestions by chopping the carrot instead of shredding and by adding a large can of diced tomatoes instead of tomato juice. I wasn't really fond of the meat used in the recipe, so next time I'll likely use italian sausage. I froze the leftovers in individual size portions to use for quick lunches. They reheated very well.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

I loved this dip. I did change up the recipe according to other's suggestions: 1 pkg cream cheese, 1/3 cup light sour cream, 1/3 cup mayo. I only had 1/2 a jar of artichoke hearts on hand, but the dip was still really flavorful! My kids gobbled it up. I served this dip with raw veggies. I was so happy that my son was willingly consuming spinach!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

This recipe was so easy, and the au jous sauce is really good. I would definitely suggest putting the meat back in the juice after you've sliced it very thin. I used an electric knife to get the slices as thin as possible. Also, be sure to use a crusty bread and toast it so that it stands up to dunking in that awesome sauce.
