Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2014
I didn't have red onion, so I omitted that. I also subbed olive oil instead of walnut oil. I didn't have any and didn't want to make a special trip just for one item. WOW, WOW, WOW! I am in love with this salad. Try it and you won't be sorry.

Uncooked Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
I brought this recipe to our family's Easter party. It was a hit and there weren't any leftovers. I made it the night before the party. I did squeeze lemon juice over the bananas to stop them from browning.

This recipe has become one of my daughter's favorites. It's a good mellow recipe, not too spicy.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2012
This was a really good recipe. I ended up cooking the pork loin a little longer than stated. The meat was still very moist, tender and flavorful. I actually shredded the meat and put it on buns for sandwiches. We used the sauce from the slow cooker as an au jus. Yum!

Pecan Snack

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2012
There are no words to describe how good this is. The sweet/slightly salty/light delicate crunch of the pecan became like crack to me. I couldn't stop myself from devouring this stuff by the handful. I ended up giving half of it away so that I didn't eat too much. Go make this NOW!

Best Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
This soup got 5 stars from all of my family members. I made the following substitutions: 1. Used fresh spinach instead of zucchini 2. Used frozen tortellini instead of the fettuccine

Oaty Cereal Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
These are good, but a bit too sweet. I would cut back on the honey the next time I make them. I boiled the mixture for a couple of minutes and that seemed to help the bars stick together instead of crumble apart.

Beer Lime Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
We love this recipe and have made it several times over the course of this past summer. I use chicken tenders to make grilling faster. The chicken has great flavor and is always tender and moist. This is a hit for sure.

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
This recipe was a hit at my house of picky eaters. I followed another users suggestion and put all of the ingredients (chicken thighs were frozen) into a pot and simmered for an hour. The chicken was so tender and well flavored. We fought over the leftovers!

Fish Fillets Italiano

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
This was an excellent recipe. I followed the recipe as stated. I served the fish with mashed potatoes, asparagus and texas toast. I would recommend serving with a bread so that you can catch all of the juice. Both my husband and I commented that it was the type of meal we would get at a restaurant.

Pasta e Fagioli II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
This soup was good. I followed other reviewers suggestions by chopping the carrot instead of shredding and by adding a large can of diced tomatoes instead of tomato juice. I wasn't really fond of the meat used in the recipe, so next time I'll likely use italian sausage. I froze the leftovers in individual size portions to use for quick lunches. They reheated very well.

My husband is very picky and a lover of chinese food. He gave this recipe a definite 5 stars (which is a first). I took previous reviewers advice and tripled the amount of sauce.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
I loved this dip. I did change up the recipe according to other's suggestions: 1 pkg cream cheese, 1/3 cup light sour cream, 1/3 cup mayo. I only had 1/2 a jar of artichoke hearts on hand, but the dip was still really flavorful! My kids gobbled it up. I served this dip with raw veggies. I was so happy that my son was willingly consuming spinach!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This recipe was so easy, and the au jous sauce is really good. I would definitely suggest putting the meat back in the juice after you've sliced it very thin. I used an electric knife to get the slices as thin as possible. Also, be sure to use a crusty bread and toast it so that it stands up to dunking in that awesome sauce.
