Oat Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
Followed the recipe to a T and it didn't turn out well at all. Maybe the milk was too hot and killed the yeast, I have no idea. Considering other people had issues with the bread rising I don't really know what to think.

Real Homemade Bagels

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2013
This was my first attempt at homemade bagels and I think they turned out awesome. I didn't have the instant yeast like the recipe called for so I dissolved one packet of dry yeast in warm water and hoped for the best. I did have to add about 1/2 cup more of water to the dough as it was mixing.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
I used this recipe more as a baseline of how to make knock off's of Ruby Tuesday's zucchini mini's. I added roasted red peppers and feta. I also grilled mine on a George Forman Grill, so I didn't have to fry them. I was very pleased with the outcome. So if you want to cut some of the fat and calories, grilling these is an option. Thank you for the great recipe!

Inside-Out Caramel Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
This just did not turnout for me. I followed the recipe except I only made 2 instead of 4. The pastry was done, but the apples were still way too undercooked and the inside portion of the pastry next to the apple was very soggy. The pastry slipped off and was kind of a mess really. I really really wanted to like them, but was overall disappointed.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
Awesome! I don't have a grill so I made these in the oven in my grill pan. Oven temp at 350 till the bacon was crispy. I turned mine once so all sides would be nice and crispy. Not too much of a mess really. When I asked my boyfriend what he thought...he said he could not stop eating them! I got one! Will make again!

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
WONDERFUL and EASY. I forgot to marinade the chicken but I can't imagine it making a huge difference to the taste. I did not follow the recipe as far as measurements, I simply eyed the ingredients as I added them. I will definitely make again!!!

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
This bread was so easy and absolutely wonderful! I added cheese and garlic like others had suggested and used Michelob Ultra Amber and it turned out great. I will definitely make again and try with other beers to play with the flavor. Boyfriend tested and approved!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I will never buy canned again. So easy and so good. I only had a half a cup of OJ so I substituted with 1/2 C V8 Fusion Peach Mango....it was still great!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
AMAZING! This was actually very simple to make and turned out PERFECT. I made this for the first Thanksgiving I prepared for my family. It was a huge hit. No one even touched the regular pumpkin pies I made. I followed the recipe exactly, only prepared mine in a spring form pan and made the crust. I baked it in a water bath as suggest on this site for baking cheesecakes. Thank you so much for this great recipe....and making me look like a great cook for my family :)

Homemade Butter

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I made my homemade butter the old fashion way, in a jar. It takes a bit longer but it is a great arm workout!! I used paper towels to drain the excess water which worked out better than cheese cloth in my opinion. This was a fun recipe to try, but I will probably use a food processer next time

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Great recipe and very simple. I made mine in my Pampered Chef mini loaf pan, which makes four small loaves from a single loaf recipe. This worked out great. They did cook a little faster.

Butternut Squash Fries

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
Very tasty. I made one half of the squash following the directions almsot exactly. I sprayed with cooking spray was the only alteration. The other half I coated in melted Brummel and Brown butter (yogart butter) and added a little cinnaman and netmeg. Both were great. I was able to use a veggie peeler to peel the squash which was a lot easier than using a knife, especially for someone who tends to cut themselves a lot :). Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
Made for my boyfriend as a request. I didn't add the wine since I didn't have any on hand. It still turned out great and the sauce was rich and very flavorful. My boyfriend loved it!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
I honestly don't like brussel sprouts but I like to try new recipes and ways to incorporate variety into my diet. I have to admit these were actually pretty good and I would make them again. The recipe was very easy, I didn't measure anything...I hardly ever measure. Thank you for the recipe.

Carrot Parsnip Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
this was a great sidedish and a nice alternative to the usual vegetable side. I used olive oil vice the butter and it was still great. If you like parsnips you will really like this recipe.
