Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
I make this often, although I add a lot of extra oregano, garlic, and lemon juice. I also use chicken broth instead of bouillon. It is delicious! I have to admit that I drink some of the broth after it's done because it's so amazing!

Lemon Chicken Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
I make this all the time now! It's a great summer soup. I often used canned chicken and it works great. Frozen spinach works fine as well.

Toddler Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
My toddler liked them, but I loved them! I froze some and they reheated nicely.

Slow Cooker Risotto

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
Perfect as written! This has become one of my family's favorite dishes. I'm always looking for things to pair it with; my favorites so far are Parmesan Meatloaf and Italian Meatballs. Don't let it overcook -- it gets too mushy and sticky right after about 2 hours!

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
This was incredible! The leftovers were even better. I followed the recipe exactly except I left out the mushrooms. I added a lot of extra paprika, but it didn't need any extra salt. I also used Trader Joe's condensed portabella mushroom soup, which cut out the MSG (found in Campbell's). I will make this again and again! Great over whole wheat egg noodles.

Pollo Oaxaca

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
The very best thing I've ever cooked. Absolutely delicious! I halved the recipe and it turned out great. I didn't change anything. I thought there would be a ton of prep (chopping, etc.) involved, but using a blender/food processor made it so quick and easy. I served it with rice and refried beans.

Southwestern Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
Delicious! I used all my leftovers from taco night (ground beef, corn, and black beans) to make this -- a great way to turn the same ingredients into a different meal! Not leftover-y at all. Like other reviewers, I also used a can of diced tomatoes (the kind with onion and garlic) instead of the tomato paste. Added some spices and it turned out great! I also served it over rice.

Pan-Seared Tilapia

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
AWESOME! So light and wonderful. It went great with brown rice and broccoli. My husband loved it. I did add some lemon juice at the end, but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I will definitely make this again (and often!).

No Bakes

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Great -- just give them time! I thought for sure that I had failed when I saw that the cookies were still just goo ten minutes afterwards, but I let them sit for a couple of hours and they were perfect. Great by themselves or used as topping on vanilla ice cream!

Three Cheese Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Excellent -- I followed the recipe exactly and it made a great meal with a salad and bread. As others have mentioned, all of the ingredients barely fit in the 9x13 pan (a little overflowing sauce), but it works. It wasn't dry at all. I will definitely make this again!

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Like everyone else, I added 2 T of oil and 1 tsp of vanilla... AWESOME. Instead of semisweet chocolate chips, I used a special seasonal Nestle bag of mixed dark chocolate/mint chips. They tasted like a soft and chewy version of Girl Scout Thin Mints!!! Everyone loved them. Also, the recipe made about 44 cookies (using a small cookie scoop), not 24, but the cooking time was right on = 8-9 minutes for me. Thanks, Kristi!

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
First batch, pretty good, but second batch (with alterations) -- Delicious! I decreased the ginger to 1/2 tsp because it overpowered the molasses. I decreased the white sugar to 3/4 cup and added 1/4 cup of brown sugar. NOTE: These were perfect when I took these out of the oven after 6-7 minutes. At 8 minutes, they had burned. Once they were perfected, I made these for a party and everyone raved over them. My husband says they taste like Christmas. ONE OF THE BEST COOKIES I HAVE EVER EATEN!

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
Awesome! Also I recommend trying this: once I didn't have pecans, so I left them out and put Sugar Cookie Icing (on this website) on top. AMAZING! I also advise against making the pecan sandies balls too big -- they expand a LOT.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
AWESOME! I did have to add extra milk, but otherwise it is perfect. I added a little extra almond extract and it made my cookies have a wonderful almond taste -- definitely recommended.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
This was fabulous! It seemed to bake FOREVER, and it never really got done, so I finally just took it out. The inside was a bit too squishy for us, but the edges were delicious -- I think I may have added too much pumpkin... be careful! Also, more chocolate chips in this recipe does not make it better -- it's already quite rich.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
The taste was pretty good, although slightly bland. The worst part of this dish was the texture: VERY thick. I liked the unique taste that the pumpkin added, but if I made it again, I would add chicken broth or something to thin it out.
