My cooking triumphs
Since being out on my own, I've had to go out on a limb quite a bit and learn to make the foods I love all by myself--without recipes. I am happy to report that I have successfully invented my own potato salad and discovered my go-to muffins.
My cooking tragedies
Once upon a time I decided to make toffee from scratch. I measured and heated and stirred constantly, but somehow, it still started sticking. Then it started stinking. Then I started panicking. As it turns out, cheap plastic spoons have a tendency to melt at temperatures over 250 degrees.
