I made these yesterday morning as a "treat" for my breakfast. DELISH!! I had fresh berries on hand from a local farm and they worked perfectly. I added 1/4 cup coconut palm sugar (brown would be fine) and 2 teaspoons of vanilla as suggested by other reviews. My husband had one for an afternoon snack and said they were VERY good. I reheated one for my breakfast this morning and the flavors were even better. This is going in my favorites and will be shared with all my family and friends. I highly recommend this recipe. This is the 2nd soda bread I've tried and this recipe is by far THE BEST of the 2. Very easy to assemble and the taste is WONDERFUL. I added the raisins which to me makes this bread even better. Very good with a little butter and jam. Will be having it alongside our corned beef, cabbage and potatoes for St. patty's Day tomorrow. Can't wait!!

Just made this cake and it turned out great. My husband said it was really good and agreed with me even better tomorrow. I used an 8 x 11 pan instead of 9 x 13 after reading several reviews. This is the only change I would make to this recipe. I will make again for sure.
