Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
I also doubled the spices but not the cinnamon and salt as suggested. I think letting it sit overnight would be best to infuse some flavor as mine wasn't too much, but we still liked it. I think I'll use beer next time instead of chicken broth as well. Putting it in the oven is ingenius. My husband is still gobbling it up for lunch! I used a pork shoulder as it was cheap but I had no idea what to do with it, this was perfect.

Oven Fries

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
My first attempt at oven fries and they were perfect. I forgot the sugar though. I did use salt, garlic powder, pepper, and seasoned salt. I cut the wedges and poured olive oil over with the seasoning. I used non-stick foil sprayed with cooking spray. Cooked for exactly 30 mins on 450 with no issues.

Steak Fajitas

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
I have been using this recipe for over a year now with chicken or steak. I really love it. I have high blood pressure, so low salt is a must. I really like the lime flavor and even squirt more lime on my steak when it is finished.

I grew up eating this and all of us loved it. I buy the salad shrimp from the seafood counter though since it isn't that expensive.

Champagne Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2006
My husband and I love this recipe. He calls it "Drunk Chicken." I do agree it needs a little spicing up if you don't like things bland like I do. I always end up needing more champagne. You do want something on the dry side which will be less sweet.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2005
Weight Watchers also suggests the tin foil to cut the fat. I have also cooked whole chickens on low for 10 hours while at work. I'm aiming for the fall apart so I have shredded chicken for tacos, salads, etc. Always juicy and delicious. I use a 3 lb chicken and a 4 qt crock pot.

Super Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
My husband and I loved this marinade on flank steak. It tasted great and the meat was tender. We let it set for over 12 hours. We can't have the sodium that comes with using soy sauce and the others, so the lime is wonderful and no added salt!

Lover's Beef Burgundy Filet

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
I didn't care for this. It needed way too many ingredients and it didn't do much for our filets. I was really hoping for something amazing. The butter was a neat additive, but not for the health healthy diets.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 26, 2004
These are awesome and easy enough for my husband to make. They are requested everytime I attend an event. I don't use the front, I love them plain. I also like to plop peanut butter on the top while hot and use it like a frosting.
