Great recipe! Will make again for sure. I doubled it and added 1 extra tbs of salsa.

Succotash

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
Everyone enjoyed this side dish. Only turn off was the extraordinary amount of butter. Would make again for sure, but definitely use at least, if not less 1/2 amount of butter for dietary reasons. We used frozen Lima beans, whole tomatoes and canned corn. Other than that tho, veggies blended well together and tasted great and sweet.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
Good flavor without sour cream. Balanced taste with heartiness. Cooked on high for 5 hours in the crock pot. Meat was shredded when it was time to eat, but that was fine with us. Added frozen peas/carrot mix that I cooked the night before. Also, added fresh mushrooms when it was time to add the fat-free cream cheese.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
This is the best chili I've ever made. The seasoning was just right. I added 2 cups extra water since I was using the crock pot and wanted to fill it. Cooked on high for 5 hours. I also added garbanzo beans. Great recipe!

Herb Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
The bomb!! I will make these again and again!! I added 1/4 tsp basil and 1/4 tsp garlic powder to the butter mixture. I used less butter than called for as well and herb biscuits were still buttery-delish! Thank you for a superb recipe!

Old Fashioned Brown Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
This was a great starter gravy recipe, especially since it was last minute and I had to use what I had on hand. I cooked the gravy stove top, but it was quite bland so I added salt, pepper, and onion powder. It thickened perfectly with a bit of time and patience. Be careful not to add to much salt like I did, other wise it was a great recipe with plenty of room to play with.

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
Simple enough to whip up in no time. I followed the ingredients to a "T" except for doubling the recipe. I used the dough cycle for 10 minutes, then reset my bread maker to "Extra Bake Time" setting for 90 minutes. Bread rose very nicely. I've had other banana breads with a more potent banana flavor, however this one was still good enough to try again. Next time I will add raisins, nuts, or maybe both.

Maple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
Mmm this was very good! Only problem I have with whole wheat breads is that they don't rise as much as I would like them too.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Good, very quick and easy to make. We left in the tomatoes and omitted the onion. A tad on the spicy side, but made a good meal for a change of pace. Thanks!

Seasoned Couscous

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Highly recommended....especially if your new to couscous like we are. I love using herbs in our meals--they have such an amazing flavor. Cooked for 10 minutes instead of 5, as that is what the directions were for our couscous, and it was perfect. I would make this again.

Cobb Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Scrumptious! We used black olives instead of green onion. Also, used real bacon pieces from a jar instead of the frying method. Added cheddar cheese on the side. Very good salad.... boyfriend is just starting to eat salad, and says this is a new favorite salad.

Very tasty! We used dried basil because that was all we had. When our basil plant has more growth I will try fresh, I'm sure that would be great too.

Pecans went good with the brown rice, a very balanced flavor. We added less onion but used the seasons as directed. A little bland but good eating anyway.
