Cinnamon Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2013
I love these! So easy to make, and can still use a little butter or jelly if you like. I added twice the amount of cinnamon because I love it, other than that the recipe came out perfect!

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
This recipe was very easy and VERY good, so I can't give it less than 5 stars. I'm really glad I tried it, but I'm not sure if I'll make this exact recipe again. For me it was too dense for muffins and would have been better as a bread or cake. I did love the Pumkin and Apple together though!

Eggplant Parmesan I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
I can only give this 4 stars because the recipe itself is tastey but comes out a little soupy and kind of a mess. I changed it to fit my needs by doing adding crumbed sausage, using 16oz cottage cheese with 3 eggs, and adding to it fresh garlic, parsely, basil, a small amount of bread crumbs and olives. This made it solidify and be more lazagna-like.

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
wow. I never thought I could make pancake syrup, let alone one better than any store bought! I halved the recipe since I didn't need very much, and used 1/2 white 1/2 brown sugar, dark corn syrup, and for buttermilk in a pinch I used 1/2butter 1/2half n half. I always add extra cinnamon and vanilla to recipes for personal preference. Will DEFINATELY make again!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
This might be a false rating since I didn't actually use the recipe. I used my own sugar cookie dough to make the fingers, and use jelly beans for nails, and people LOVED them. I wanted to be able to give credit where it's due since the creativity was appreciated by all! Thank you for this idea! (p.s. I realize this is a few months late, I made them for halloween, not chrsitmas! lol)

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
So simple, it came out great! Made two batches, one altered, one not. On one I followed the suggestions of brown/white sugars, a little cinnamon, and even a little bit of vannila. They both were great tasteing! One traditional which I'll use on Thanksgiving, and the spiced one for christmas :o)

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
GREAT RECIPE!!! Followed directions, and loved it- then added chopped parsley, minced garlic, and green onion for a little extra. I left out the nuts since I didn't have them. I coated the outside in parsley and shredded chedder for looks- went over GREAT!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
First Turkey ever, came out perfect! I had a 22lb bird, so I doubled the recipe, and buttered that sucker GOOD. I followed the "most helpful" review that said for a turkey that size to do 375 for the first for, then reduce to 350 for 4 more hours. I put our unstuffed turkey in at 8:30am covered, basted every hour, and uncoverd for the last hour, basting every 20 min. Came out at 1:45pm PERFECT Thank you for this recipe, it's the only one I'll use!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Very good! followed the recipe- EVEN adding the vinegar to the milk (have to admit I was skeptical), and they turned out great! Fluffy and filling just as described. I was surprised at just how much taste the vinegar added. This ones a keeper for me, and now my go-to pancake mix. Thank you kris!

Luscious Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
This was a GREAT lemon cake- and so so easy! I used a half water half lemon juice mixture, and added lemon zest and a little vanilla for fun. Will make this again and again! **Totally forgot and left out the oil this time- but still turned out GREAT! A little dry, but it's my own fault!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
Made this for Christmas dinner, but didn't get any exciting reviews. I personally thought it was ok, it tasted fine, and it came out perfect, but just wasn't a hit. I think next year I will try a different recipe :o) Had a great time trying something new though!

Chicken Wellington Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
HUBBY APPROVED! I followed another users suggestion of wrapping the square (2 triangles) of crescent dough around the chicken I had pre-cooked and sliced up. Also, I had to leave out the mushrooms, since hubby WILL NOT eat them, and added minced garlic to the cream cheese mix which was spread onto dough before wrapping around the chicken. Last, I toped with shredded chedder once when I put it in the oven, and again 3 min before I pulled it out. Baked the four seperate rolls of chicken for only 20 min uncovered at 350, and came out perfect. Can't wait to make this again!

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
Turned out restaurant style! I had to adjust for what I had on hand, but the measurments are right on! I used a 12oz can diced tomatoes, but also uped the rice to 1 1/2 cups and added a small can of diced gree chilis seperate. Powdered onion, chili, and garlic, and salt seasonings were all I had, but turned out perfect in the end!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
This was a great new breakfast dish to make, especially since you can prep it the night before and just toss it in the oven when you wake up! I only had cherry pie filling at home, and only a little cream cheese left, so I swapped cherry for the bluberries, and dotted butter and what little cream cheese had throughout. I say five stars for the great flavor and just right amount of each ingredients! I did notice that when it bakes covered, the steam from the eggs creates a slight pool of water in the bottom of the pan, and doesn't look too appetizing when you dish it up to serve. I'll try venting it next time and maybe a few extra dry bread cubes in the bottom. Can't wait too try the blueberry!

Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Great simple fudge recipe! I followed other suggestions such as- 3cups white chocolate chips, discarding all extra cookie dust/crumbs, and using the holiday oreo which marbles it red/white. I gave it one less star because although it tasted fine, and looked fine, it really was just...fine. Not "GREAT" like a true 5 star deserves. I WILL make again to keep a variety, but it won't be my "underdog" fudge. :o) Happy Baking!*** UPDATE- I'll be eating crow till next Christmas! After sitting overnight and taking to the family, it got RAVE reviews, and didn't last long! Guess I should be a little more patient next time!
