I bake daily.I wanted something NOT chocolate. I DID read all of the reviews before making this so I knew I had a nice firm crust to put a thick buttercream frosting onto. I served my chubby hubby a slice. He said,"It's good but it reminds me of something." As he takes another bite he thinks some more...."I know, CORNBREAD!" He will finish the cake I'm sure. There is a texture issue with this recipe though.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

I made this last night and we both really liked it.I think with pork I might like a bit of red pepper heat in this sauce.I am going to make this recipe again with chicken soon.

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

The first time I made these it was exactly by the recipe.These are a great small batch recipe.Personally I can't always afford good chocolate chips and I can't stand cheap ones. I find that this batter(minus the coffee) holds up well to other add ins...So far,I've tried several different dried fruits,nuts and leftover candy all with great success.

Best Brownies

This is a super easy recipe for beginners just stepping away from boxed mix.It's also a handy quick dessert when you want something sweet NOW. I skipped the honey in the frosting because Mr Bear was empty. I just used some milk.I've noticed that some people had a bad result with this recipe.With small batch recipes,egg size matters,melted versus boiling butter matters and PLEASE mix your brownies by hand(as others have said) or you will be unhappy.
