About this Cook
I am a house wife and a mom :) I was born and raised in Alaska and plan to do the same with my daughter :) But my hubby is from MN. we have 2 cats and looking for our first house~
My favorite things to cook
Sweets! haha I enjoy making stir frys, steaks, potato soup, and exploring the slow cooker recipes haha
My favorite family cooking traditions
Banna Bread, Ambrosia fruit salad and Potato soup... nothing we made up on our own... or passed down by generations... but we love putting our own twists on recipes. My family likes sharing recipes and eating is a plus!
My cooking triumphs
Cornish Game hens... we won't make them again simply because it was more work than tasty in the end, but I'm proud that I did it! :)
My cooking tragedies
I accidentally (when pregnant) grabbed sweetened condensed milk for a potato soup recipe instead of the unsweetend kind... VERY BAD. Adding salt to try and balance it out does not work at all... just throw it out haha

Sugar Cookie Frosting
super easy and tasty! I never use shortening myself. I just do the same measurements but butter... and it's fine. I do recommend letting your butter soften by sitting out though. If in a hurry microwave on the lowest setting and check a lot so it doesn't burn or melt too much. That way it's soft and not liquid lol It DOES make a difference! :D
