Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
This chicken looks really good on a plate and also tastes wonderful. I oversalted the first time, though the recipe did not call for salt, which was why I added a little bit into the egg mixture, which almost ruined my dish the first time. To save it, I added water to the pan covering the chicken and let it come to a boil and then I dumped out the liquids, and repeated that three times until I got the flavor I liked. *Do NOT add salt to this dish, it is not needed.

Ono Butter Mochi

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I was a little disappointed in this recipe. I may have done something wrong, but my mochi was not as soft as I expected. The coconut topping was good, but that was the only part preferred. My boyfriend did like the results of this recipe and so that is why it got 4 stars. I will try this recipe again to see if I can achieve better results.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
My boyfriend made this for us last night, and it was really good. He reported that this recipe was really easy to follow. He mixed in some chopped walnuts, with additional sprinkled on top for a beautiful presentation. The top was nice and crispy and the inside was soft and gooey. There were leftovers, which was better the next day. We left out the frosting and we shaved a little bit of sugar off also (we cannot eat too much sweet).

Easy Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I have never been a big fan of soups, but this soup is another deal. I really liked all the flavors and the variety of vegetables. The crunch of the corn is fantastic, the occasional bow-tie (which I substituted for the tortellini pasta because that was what I had on hand), and the softness of the rest of the vegetables made this soup wonderful. This is a really simple recipes to follow and really worth the try.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
This is a wonderful recipe, very easy to follow and has very little room for mistake (in my opinion). I've made this twice and really enjoyed it. I used mint instead of the dried basil, which I did not have on hand. I also skipped on the mayonnaise. The first time I used orange juice and it was fine, the second time I used fresh lemon juice and it was perfect.

Chocolate Pudding Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
My boyfriend just made this for us tonight (it was his first baking challenge) and it was wonderful. The recipe was followed step-by-step and was reported as relatively simple. The top was nice and crispy and the inside was gooey with chocolate--success! i do believe he will bake again.
