Chicken and Cashews

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2012
I think this is a good starting point. I agree that the recipe needs to be adjusted for more servings. I adjusted the servings and the sauce was a little on the thin size for us too. Over all good, and an easy weeknight meal.

Tortellini Alfredo

I think after tinkering with this recipe it will be great. Just a little to "heavy cream" tasting for me. Great starting point though!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2012
At first I thought there was too much liquid. I added about 2 tbsp of cornmeal to thicken it up. I put it in the fridge overnight and reheated the next day. It was perfect. Great consistency!

Crab and Swiss Quiche

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
I added an extra egg as others suggested. Even my 2 year old loved it. I did add a little more cheese, and green onions with some salt and pepper, but very simple and easy. It won't be a weekly rotation, but definitely a keeper!

Scalloped Corn I

I had to cook down the juice to really enhance the beef flavor. It was much better with melted provolone cheese too!

This was great! We had leftovers and no bread, so I added pasta and had another meal!

It is ok. Good for a quick salad. I will keep searching though.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
So easy and wonderful. I did add sour cream for the extra zip, and I sauteed fresh mushrooms and added them at the end.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
I Floured and browned the roast before placing it in the slow cooker. I also used beef broth instead of water, and I poured it in the bottom of the browning pan to get all the browned bits. It added so much! I only used one can of cream of mushroom soup. I cooked it on low for 9 hours, and it was tender. I made veggies separately. There are a few changes I will make next time, 1. I will try for a leaner cut of meat. There was still quite a bit of fat after I trimmed it. 2. I might try not flouring/browning it, and omitting the beef broth/water completely. Even after flouring, the gravy was not as thick as I would like it to be. Thanks for the recipe, very easy and the family loved it!

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
The glaze is entirely too sweet, so I used less Honey and added a little chicken broth. I also added onions to the browning with the pork. It helped!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
I followed the advice of a reviewer...added worcestershire to the ground beef, and added a packet of brown gravy mix to the meat with one cup of water. I also put in frozen peas and carrots. It was fab! My 3 and 1 year olds loved it as well as my husband!

Real Potato Leek Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
It was good, but a bit bland for my taste. So the second time I made it, I cooked bacon and crumbled it into the soup. I will also be adding some heavy cream next time to make it a bit creamier. It was really good though and my kids loved it!
