About this Cook
Just past my decade of marriage milestone, 3 wonderful kids to show for it....and in between all this I have learned, burnt and mastered recipes along the way!
My favorite things to cook
Baking, Italian, English...and I love to try new things. Really though, anything that makes my house smell good is a winner :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Cookies, Pasta Sauce, Traditional Roast Dinner with Yorkshire Pudding
My cooking triumphs
I consider myself quite skilled at cookies and cakes, pasta, breads, potlucks and kid friendly foods.
My cooking tragedies
I still cannot figure out homemade Yorkshire's! We have mastered the packaged variety for now ;)

Coconut Shrimp I
I know I'm amongst the minority here but it really wasn't that good. I found the beer batter underneath to take over the flavor so much so that it was almost too "eggy" tasting. My husband considered it a waste of beer! Now, I wouldn't go that far but I will keep looking for a recipe that is more of a compliment to the shrimp and cococut as opposed to a cover-up.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi
These were fabulous. I prepared them a few hours in advance and placed them on a sheet of wax paper/cookie sheet in the fridge. They were fine and maybe the cooling firmed them up a bit and made for a nicer and even cooking. Once removed from the water I put them right into a pan with shallots, parsley and butter...YUMMO
