Timballo Spaghetti Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2014
Very good! I gave this 4 stars because I changed several things due to items I had on-hand. I cut the recipe in half for three adults. Used turkey pepperoni because that's what we like. Left out the green pepper and black olives as I didn't have any. Used mini rigatoni for the pasta and added extra sauce and extra chicken and the mushrooms. Sprinkled shredded cheddar and monterey jack mix on top, then shredded parmesan. My family loved it and would definitely make it again with the green pepper and olives. It was a great way to use leftover chicken! Also, I baked it in a pottery pie plate so it looked pretty, too.

Turkey Cocktail Meatballs with Orange Cranberry Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2014
I started looking for a cocktail-sized turkey meatball recipe because my local grocery stores no longer carry the ready-made brand I like. This recipe was simple and SO good. I didn't make the sauce but served them with roasted pineapple habanero sauce - fantastic! I used the video's idea and used my small scoop to make exactly 49 meatballs. I will absolutely make this recipe again and again.

OMG! Best black eyed peas I've EVER had! The only change I made was to cut it in half to make 8 servings. Otherwise, made exactly as written. Thanks for the recipe! I will definitely be making this again.

My Crispy Mashed Potato Pancake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Good basic recipe. I added more flavor to the mixture by adding shredded sharp cheddar and more garlic powder. Also, cooked them in individual patties.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
Fantastic! I doubled the carrots and celery and added a little bit of chicken powder. I did not add the half-and-half. It was thick enough and the taste was outstanding. The almonds are a great touch!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
Excellent! Super moist and light! I made it exactly as written except I had to make my own buttermilk (milk & lemon juice) and added chopped walnuts on top. My baking time turned out to be about 10 minutes longer before toothpick came out clean.

Crab Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
Excellent! I made just a couple of changes to work with what I had. I used Tilapia fillets and the crab meat (about 1 1/2 cups) was what I had picked from steamed Maryland blue crabs so of course, they had Old Bay on them. Normally, I wouldn't go to the trouble but I had already picked the crabs and was looking for a recipe to use it. So when I make this again, I'll definitely add some Old Bay. This was absolutely fabulous!

Slow Cooker BBQ Flat Iron Steak Sandwiches

My family just loves this! I've made this several times for sandwiches and over mashed potatoes. I'm rather generous with the molasses. It's fork-tender every time! Thanks for the recipe.

Southern Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2012
I was looking for a recipe to use some boneless smoked pork chops. So I made this recipe as written with the following exceptions: I chopped the pork chops, doubled the potatoes and used 3/4 cup of chicken broth. It became a one-skillett meal and was delicious!

Turkey Salad Tortillas

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2012
Very good! I used what I had on hand so the changes I made were mozzarella instead of cheddar, salsa instead of picante. I added a little chili powder, cumin and diced green chilies. I sprayed a glass baking dish with Pam, rolled the tortillas enchilada style, added more salsa and cheese on top. Baked in 375 oven for 30 minutes. My family loved it!

Crab Quiche I

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
Very good! My changes were really just to make it heartier for a meal. I put in 1 lb of lump crab meat, about 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss and about a tsp+ of Old Bay. I used refrigerated roll-out pie crust in a pottery pie pan which gave it a rustic look. My family LOVED it! No leftovers.

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
Yum! Yum! Yum! I didn't have quite the same amounts of berries as in the recipe (just more strawberries than raspberries) but I figured as long as I had about 5 cups of berries, it would be fine. My husband, my son, and my son's friend said it was "the best pie they'd ever eaten!" I put a little whipped cream on top. Thanks for posting this recipe - it's a keeper!
